Re: Warroad Roso

no question this game is it. The two towns dont like eachother when it comes to hockey however they do respect each other. The crowds are loud and always sell out, even when a team is down the other puts up a good fight. Yes its not always close but they always raise the level of play against each ...

I just think it's odd that Co-op teams like Monticello-Annadale-Maple Lake and River Lakes (Rocori, Paynesville, New London, Albany and St.Johns Prep) have to include the full enrollment of each individual city high school if they roster one player on their team and are forced to skated at the AA le...

blind ref posted that you can't be competitive only having 60 players at each level. The northern teams do it all the time with half of those numbers. Warroad, Roseau, EGF, Grand Rapids, Hermantown, Moorhead do just fine with half the numbers that you are talking about. All except Moorhead are easi...

Say blindref where did you find the numbers you are using? The last report given by the District Director of ten did not mention numbers that high, counting all coaches and players one is over 900,3 over 600, 3 over 500,5 over 300,4 over 200. Now if you only count players the numbers lower to 1 ove...

He needs to read a rule book. He didn't as a coach and he sure has not since he moved up in the booth. Only slightly less clueless on the rules then Jeff Dubay!!! I'm surprised you left out the biggest referee basher - radio color Glen Sonmor. It's a riot when he gets going. He called Anderso...

St.Cloud tried two A bantam teams two years ago and it was a disaster. Ten kids left early for high school and both teams struggled. In District 10, the bigger programs like Centennial, Blaine, Elk River, Anoka and Champlin Park all have over 1.000 kids in their program. St.Cloud has a little over 5...

This was a point of emphasis three years ago and continues today. If I make a pass and you check me 1.5-2 seconds later, you can be called for interference. So if your players are more than 2 steps away from a puck carrier, you should teach them to peal off and get back into play.

I don't know, haven't seen any northern teams (unless you count Brainerd). Elk River lost one game in District play, Blaine lost two.

How do you think the D12 D11 and the D10 teams stack up this weekend in silverbay/ Elk River and Blaine both have pretty strong teams. Elk River has a huge first line and some good defensemen. Blaine is small up front but fast, they have huge D that shoot the puck well. Both goalies are pretty good...

Puck Hog, What will the criteria be for the tryouts? Is there a percentage assigned to drills vs. scrimages? How many kids will be carried on each roster? Will there be an Invitation and an Open team? Would kids on an open team be allowed to move up or challenge for the invitation teams? How many co...
