Great recap. This is why I am the Chan Fan. Will be a solid Top 10 team the next two seasons at AA. Huge strides for a school that has never won a playoff game.

Had this discussion over text a couple days ago. The case for mushing 7 & 8 together is there'll always be a northern team at state. Now the exurban areas can send St. M-A, Elk River, or someone else.

Another way of looking at this is it wouldn't be like that if Hermantown opted up to AA.

Great matchup! I announced the game last year from PIC and iirc it was the Thursday state tournament game that didn't happen. Widely held belief that these teams will be ready for March by late February. This game is in mid-December.
