Re: Oshie
Points, Points, Points, That's one superficial way of evaluating someone. And as stated before the selection was done before the tourney. If Oshie won, I wouldn't say he didn't deserve it, Some great candidates, but Lee DID deserve it, no doubt about it.
Niskanen?? Your Crazy on that one. I had 1...

GNHogger, do youknow anything about Northern MN? Of course those small teams can produce great talent. Tally up the Championships from Roseau,Warroad,Eveleth,Greenway,Hibbing, etc.

Re: Spuds
I can add to that good opinion by stating I think there was more parity in the top 5 teams this year than any other year that I can remember.

Re: Where was #2 for Moorhead
He is good enough to play on a Jr. team, but I don't think it would get him to D-I, he'd be better suited going D-III now as long as he's ready for school.

Re: best
I wouldn't say they don't have talent, but I wouldn't say they are the best either. I'll give them credit for what they are.....The 2005 State Champs!! No one can take that away from them!

Re: Concordia is an excellent college!
Just like the other Great Moorhead Players that went there did? Unless he aspires to be a player coach there, Concordia is the Toe Jam of the MIAC. And the only fairly recent success they have had is b/c a few exceptional Moorhead players went there and led and directed that team themselves. And you...

Re: Best is relative
I agree with you 100% Packer, this was the ripest pickings for the Spuds ever. The powder Blue you speak of might have been the best High School Team in MN History.

again that is too bad, cause he's great and concordia is the arm-pit of the MIAC. He'd be taking a step down from his high school team

Hey pockett, let's apply for the head coach, seriously we couldn't do worse, those kids were going to make it as far as they did on talent not coaching.

Re: Where was #2 for Moorhead
I agree with all of you guys, this kid came up big in some big games, He has a ton of heart, (something we didn't see much of in the Championship) and he absolutely loves to hit people (another thing we didn't see much of in the championship). I think it's spelled M-O-R-O-N.....ville

Re: Hummel over Lee
slapshot bg, I am not biased in evaluating but I am biased in the fact that I only saw Hummel in the tourney and got to watch Lee all year, so "not even close" was probably harsh, the best to the AHA kids though, even after the spuds took control of possession and shots AHA had an answer, ...

Re: Cory Johnson?
I hope the people telling him he's too small doesn't get to him, I've played with Kraft and Blake and he is faster than both of them when they were high schoolers. I know speed alone won't do it but I believe this kid could play D-I with out a doubt.
