Re: Week 7
Hill and Centennial have good coverage on the hub. A defensive battle - only 34 shots total - but Anderson managed to secure the victory over Groess. I thought the Hill / Centennial game was similar to Centennial / Rogers. You used the phrase "Rogers seemed to comfortably handle Centennial&quo...

Re: Week 7
Things are heating-up, and this week should start to provide more clarity - some good games: Monday Breck/Chisago - need to mention this one if only because it feels almost like a requiem for an earlier era. Tuesday Andover/Blake - may not be close, but Blake has an offense at the top end that look...

Re: Week 6
A few that should be interesting this week - Saturday: Andover/Elk River Centennial/Rogers Big games today - both should be very fun to watch - tune in! Not sure either ended up being that good. Andover absolutely obliterated ER - shots 43-5 - wowza. Rogers seemed to comfortably handle Centennial. ...

Re: Week 6
I think it's also worth noting that Centennial made a great decision in hiring Sean Molin, the guy can be a little blunt but the kids respect him and he is a really good teacher of hockey. 1. 100% agree regarding Molin - Centennial is very lucky to have him and his staff (Juergens, Rooney, Slater, ...

Re: Week 6
My comment wasn't intended to impugn O'hara or Goodreau - both are very good players - high end. I was more making a point about their top line, which includes those two and I believe a 7th grader. That 7th grader looks like she is a future star, but she is serving as the third component of a top A...

Re: Week 6
Centennial faces their first real test in Rogers, other than their win against Wayzata (in which they were outshot 38-29). I'm a bit skeptical Centennial is as good as their record. Their top end is high-end but not elite - scoring a lot against so-so back-ends - and Rogers has been tough to score ...

Re: 2021-22 Section Realignment
This is fun. As of 4/16, without confirmation of who is transferring where (hello Breck), I'm going on the record with my AA Section finals predictions for February 2022. I reserve the right to change these in October after the summer chaos has concluded: 1AA - Lakeville North v. Lakeville South 2A...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Per the article, " The complaint states that if the boys are unable to compete, they will suffer irreparable harm " I get it, it sucks. But suffer irreparable harm? I have a kid on the Centennial girls team. Last week was tough, really tough for them. But I don't see that it's suffering i...

Re: Centennial - COVID Victim
Has it become more a matter of Don't ask, don't tell at this point with covid? Exactly. In Centennial's case, it would've been hard to avoid. I cannot talk about specifics, but there was little way around the situation. The funny part of about this illogical schedule the MSHSL has set up, is that i...

Re: Centennial - COVID Victim
NO. Our JV team only has 9 skaters and 1 goalie left due to section call-ups. There are people unhappy on another string about Andover having to play a first round section game against Princeton. This would be twice as bad, and no, not a great experience. IMO, a 2nd place section team should not be...

Re: Centennial - COVID Victim
Agreed, Maple Grove should go. I wonder if Centennial is considering sending their JV? It would be a bloodbath against Edina, but great experience for those girls. NO. Re: Centennial - COVID Victim
This claim could be utter nonsense, but one reply on Twitter to announcing this by John Milea (sp?) claimed Edina covered up 2 positive tests during sections. I don't know how anyone could know that without it actually having an impact on their situation. I'd love to hear why the HSL doesn't / didn...

Re: Upset predictions for Thursday’s game
Holy cow... Centennial 8, Blaine 5. Not that Centennial won, but the score. 10 goals in a 14-minute span in the 2nd. That 10 goal stretch was like watching an NHL All Star game from the 80's. Lots of great offense, not much for defense or goalie play (ugly actually). It settled down in the ...

Re: Week 5 Games
Agreed. If Centennial can keep it to a 5-1 loss (as Elk River did), and keep the SOG's given up under 50 (averaging 55+ per game), that will be an accomplishment to build on.

Re: KRACH Rankings 2020-21
This will be an odd year for KRACH rankings, or any other rankings that uses SOS statistics. Even though we know Andover is one of the top 2 teams, they do not play any games outside the 10 team NWSC. With the MSHSL limit to 18 regular season games, each team in the NWSC plays each other twice. Thus...

I'm still here too. In regard to dryland for my daughter, we have a PowerSkater in the garage (http://www.poweringathletics.com/powerskaterhomepage/productskater/). She's also running on the nice days. Doing cross-training with other sports and drills. She's lucky to have an old sister to help with ...

Re: 2020 Section Results
Blake's season - and run- is over. Back to class A? I think what is more telling from the stat lines at the hockey hub is that Wayzata were the deserved winners. Wayzata outshot Blake by an order of 2:1 in the third period when Blake had to press to get back in the game. I realize nobody's going to...
