Weird, since there are some transfer moves elsewhere this year that are much more gray than this one. If doesn't get resolved, suspect JM will go back to Omaha rather than play JV I'm not sure we know how gray this one is or isn't. If the family claimed to have moved and then didn't, but rented an ...

Maybe Whopper2 can let us in on the secret.Rich Clarke wrote:Mickelson is now no. 12 on the JV while Jack Foley has moved up to varsity. Is this about eliminating any eligibility concerns before he plays a varsity game, or is he only the 6th or 7th best defenseman available to Edina this year?

Or rents an apartment in the desired community and uses that address to establish eligibility. Can't just move and transfer back after you already started at the new school. Would have to sit our a year. On the contrary, I believe that if the family actually moves (changes residence) the kid is eli...

Statements like this are why the best kids (and parents) are running away from MN HS hockey!! Sickening..... So, you're saying that there's no possibility that coaches (especially good coaches) would rather have a team of kids that want to be there and whose parents support the program rather than ...

disciplined team hockey For years Edina has probably been the least disciplined youth association and high school team in the metro. Taking undisciplined penalties (dumb or not worth the risk) has been their problem for years. Teams know that and it's often the way to beat them (watch them beat the...

These ^ types are collapsing the recruiting hotbed that we had here. It's because the kids are leaving. They're now leaving as 15/16 year olds and trying to still be the go to guy against a bunch of 20 year olds.. Taking a back seat elsewhere while they could have been building star potential here....

This one seems odd to me. I'm sure he has improved a good amount over the summer but wouldn't you want to see him play some games during the season before having him commit? It just seems odd when you look back on his last season. Hopefully he become another dangerous weapon for the Hornets this ye...

I see Bellows protected - will he be back..? I'm wondering that myself. I'm going to list him for now. Also, Lincoln's roster is missing. We may not know until 9/22 - the deadline for USHL teams to get down to 23 players on their protected lists. In prior years, teams had to cut down to 25 players ...

Here we again MN Hockey letting two AA associations merg and play down at the A level, why? Irondale and St. Francis did that last season at the Bantam A level. Both were AA associations and almost went to the Bantam A state tournament. They should be playing AA hockey. Why have A and AA hockey whe...

Not to borrow Almosts post from above but please tell me that I'm just in off-season form and missed the sarcasm behind Ugottabes reply? Goldy seemed pretty spot on. Maybe a bit more clarity needed on parents who are coaches. Just sayin. :? Here is some more sarcasm to understand a point. If I'm a ...

I'm assuming that 10over is referring to the best Lakeville North team of all time. Anything beyond that would be delusional at best.Tenoverpar wrote:Lakeville North team may go down in the "best ever" debate..at least leading into the season

All time leading Edina scorer and Notre Dame alum Dan Carlson finished out with a career in the UK of almost 10 years I think Just an FYI, Dan Carlson is not the all time leading scorer at Edina. Who is? I'm not sure that such a list exists - at least not officially. Relies too much on proper repor...
