The old school part is nice, but the games could be so much better if they didn't have to deal with the unpredictable ice / weather. IMO, would be nice to try moving around to some of the nice rinks in State. BREC in Bemidji, Amsoil in Duluth, Marriucci, etc. Either way it a great day !

The Cloquet first line of McFarlane-Kuhlman-Meyer may be at the same level as the Langenbrunner-Petrov-Novak line of 1993 (for those of you alive back then :D), with the ability to score every shift. I don't agree with breaking the two AV players up or any line that clicks because you lose the magic that makes them great. Agree with the EP top line. Roseau's 18, 9 , ? very dominant last weekend. Havn't seen Burnsville or Edina yet.

i think this whole program is a waste of money if your not from the cities. ive watched alot of hockey for the 95 age group over the years and seen very few players like strand,yon and okenson from roseau dominate game in and game out with team such as edina and many other big programs just trying ...

CNF...when did Woodbury and Edina play in the Finals ?? If you're talking about the 09' Peewee A Final it was Roseau vs. Woodbury, with Roseau winning 6 - 1. Should be interesting to see how all the teams stack up 2 years later.

This sounds like another story of the tail wagging the dog. Little Bobby got yelled at, and runs home to tell mommy. Grow up ! Parents (especially the ones that never played hockey) are ruining this game...stay out it !!! Brutal decision Sauk Rapids.

This is just a bad idea all around. Throw in an OT game or two and you could have teams playing at 8 am and then having to wait until 9 pm. They are taking away the total "experience" of getting to a State tournament for the kids.

What is the big deal with kids missing school for a State tournament ??!! Way to go MN Hockey for ruining what was a great tournament. First the banquets, now this. Playing 2 games a day, especially at the Bantam level is very demanding. THIS IS A JOKE!

Just because a team makes it to State, doesn't make them a top 10 team. EGF is MAYBE in the top 18 - 20 range at best. Cloquet same thing.

That tournament schedule would have looked a lot better had Duluth East and Roseau made it in. OMG & Woodbury will roll in Quarters.

Shocking North Regions Not real shocking.. Rapids played East tough all year. East got out skated, out hit and out hearted. Rapids looked very very good. Potential for the championship. Cloquet will be a longshot at the tourny, but is not a team that should be overlooked. Good speed, excellent team...

The fact is that this is more of a "parent" issue than a "kid" issue. The kids know what's going on...they don't want to be put into a situation where they most likely won't be successful. Why should a player that works his butt off all off-season to better himself and is clearly...

i like number 9 on woodbury bantam a. the kid is such a smart hockey player with exceptional skills and he does it all without size. I believe that is Jake Guentzel. He is the brother of Ryan Guentzel, who plays at Notre Dame, and Gabe Guentzel who plays at Colorado College. His father is Mike Guen...

If a Bantam age player participates in a HS scrimmage or game they become ineligible for Youth hockey.

Hasn't been the same since Guentzel left. If there isn't a change soon the U of M will be Minnesota kids 2nd or 3rd choice. It already is for some.
