Re: Ryder Donovan to Wisconsin

Here is the question I have. Why would a player agree to spend a year in Juniors and then put pen to paper committing to a school that wants him to do that? The way I see it, that school can keep recruiting and upgrading your position group, defer you off one year of Juniors, two years of Juniors, ...

Re: Ryder Donovan to Wisconsin

Kids, please wait at least to your senior year to commit, you will have a better understanding of the landscape that awaits you. GB Good advice And play at least a year of juniors. #-o I am not saying to disregard these statements, as I agree 100% Juniors then college, and only commit during your s...

Re: Possible Mr. Hockey Finalists 2018-2019

it would be cool to have 2 finalists (Donovan, Schoen) playing each other in the Section 7AA finals That would be pretty cool to watch. Not that either has a great shot at winning, but when was the last time Mr. Hockey, wasn't in the tournament? Edit: I believe it was Jaremko in 2015 from ER. 2014 ...

Re: Possible Mr. Hockey Finalists 2018-2019

My prediction top 5 vote getters Brodzinski-Winner Koster Luedtke Donovan Huglen I’d swap out Donovan for Jensen, Jungels or Nevers. RD certainly will be a finalist, but this has also been a disappointing regular season for him, no if, ands or buts, I mean many thought of him as the preseason favor...

Re: Possible Mr. Hockey Finalists 2018-2019

My prediction top 5 vote getters Brodzinski-Winner Koster Luedtke Donovan Huglen I think I'd swap Luedtke for Jensen. I have a hard time seeing Donovan up there over others, especially the boys from Edina. He hasn't a great year points wise, and despite his talent, doesnt seem to control the games ...

Re: 7AA 2018-2019

Explain to me why GRapids would rather play at Elk River than at Cloquet. They beat Cloquet, they lost to Elk River, an hour plus to Cloquet on the bus, 3 hours plus on the bus to Elk River on the bus..... Yes, the QRF got it wrong, but coaches get it wrong, have lots of times. I would think the pl...

Qrf is final for 7AA 1Andover 2Duluth East 3 CEC 4 Flake 5 Elk River 6 G Rapids 7 Duluth Marshall 8 St Francis 9 CBI With this seeding, I am picking Andover to go to the X. They will walk past Flake/ER easily, and it won't be a very physical game like the DE/CEC game. That will be one hell of a sem...

Ah, I thought there was an interaction during the broadcast.

Besides that I 100% agree, with regards to parents down by locker rooms.

Re: BSM vs Chaska @ Mariucci (Koster injured)

Never said the hit on Koster was clean, I was speaking about the hit on Pitlick. Never said anyone was targeting anyone either but Yes the hit on Callahan is absolutely atrocious. I know both coaches well and no way either would ever support trying to hurt any player. Need to do a better job readin...

Re: BSM vs Chaska @ Mariucci (Koster injured)

I'm not sure which group subset of posts about the sketchy hits to quote so I will just make my comments on my own. First, 10+ feet is a bit of a stretch. I would say 8-10 feet, and there was no open space between the two players, so it is more of a contact play than a big hit. Second, if you watch ...

They go AA for the tourney, and they play some of the same teams they played all year, and the target is not on their back. It is on the Tonka/Edina/STA teams of the tournament. Yes, that motivates the kids, but it is the same pressure as having the target on your back that they get in A, I don't t...

Not sure I would call them struggling or down this year, but Duluth Denfeld is having and an uncharacteristically good year this year compared to their previous few years. They are eld by a good group of seniors that have been together for a while. Budislavich, Decaro, Lehet, Shea, and Shykes are so...

Re: Super State Tournament

If you go to 16 teams in the AA tourney, you would most certainly have to move the A tourney to Mariucci or something similar. I wouldn’t mind a 16 team field, you have some stacked sections (2AA and 6AA come to mind) with some very good teams not going to state. I would move A out of the metro are...

No problem . Good points by you! And don’t wish for CC days , they weren’t that good! I was meaning to gain a respect for the tradition.
