There were 4-9 graders listed on Edina‘s varsity...1 played only 8 regular season games She may have aged out of 14u..and 15u was not an option then. 2000 birth year kids will be 9th and 10th graders this year. Edina loses only 5 skaters off of last years varsity. They have a lot of talented player...

The only associations that will benefit from this in the form of pretty good players will be the Edina's and Minnetonka's of the world and they might not even get any. Smaller associations may benefit from having a few more bodies to round out one team or help fill in a B team. It may end up having...

They always had east coach coaches and talk of an east coast bias so now they finally get a Minnesota coach and now we can talk about the Minnesota bias. Minnesota players are better.

Very exciting for these kids. Congratulations!!!

Yeah, that Colorado U12 team was insane. I couldn't believe the power of their shooting, as well as the size of those 12-year-olds. The 02/03 O/S team had a nice victory against the Young Americans on Friday. However, they took two defeats from the Kodiaks. who are the top players on the 02/03 team...

Great week end of Hockey. Colorado brought 2 really good teams. Machine 02 played really well changed my opinion of them. So much girls talent nation wide. Yeah, that Colorado U12 team was insane. I couldn't believe the power of their shooting, as well as the size of those 12-year-olds. The 02/03 O...

Still can't figure out who advanced this discussion and pushed for passage. Usually that person thinks it will work for them. Set varsity players aside for a moment. 8th and 9th is U14. 10th and 11th is JV. What 6 people is this for? The only associations that will benefit from this in the form of ...

Re: U15

I know there was some discussion about this on another thread, but now that this looks like a reality across the state, there seems to be a lot of questions about why this is being instituted, and what it will mean. I am just trying to understand so if anyone has any insight, please share. It is re...

Re: Wondering

I was just thinking, (i know first time for everything) Why, and I admit I am a big offender the Machine program gets bashed so much as opposed to the other AAA girls programs? I know my reasons but I was just curious as to other peoples thoughts. I think it's largely related to the coaches and par...

Listen, they (02 Machine) are a very good team. They are legit and are a very high end team for their age group. There is no need to bash them.

2. They are effective in dumping the puck and putting LOTS of pressure on teams as they try to break it out of their defensive zone. ). IMO, this is not something that should be emphasized in the spirit of DEVELOPMENT. This is systems, WIN only mentality and the exact opposite of what 95% of D1 coa...

And a random comment more to the thread topic - we watched the 02 Machine in Blaine this weekend. They won the two games we saw, but just barely. Seemed to only play to the level of their competition and very inconsistent. (Nice warm up though. Not. A little arrogant IMO.) I think OS and some other...

Can they offer kids on the spot or is it a non-contact period for NCAA?

Who did well, for those in attendance?
