I agree that the Rams defense will need help, they are basically left with kids that have a year of varsity experience (state experience as well), but that alone will not help them because from what I have seen they are not fast enough nor big enough to compete with a team like Hill had this year. ...

As for Roseau moving down to A it will never happen, dont ever entertain that idea, and to say that '07 was a fluke because all the GOOD teams lost is a joke, the '07 Rams were far better than this years team both defensively and offensively. They would have won again if the SAME team was back. Wel...

Re: Mass Exit???
Mass exit in Roseau?...players, coach?....c'mon Ram fans, fill us in. Don't you wish. The boys will be back next year--with a few new faces added. There isn't a better place to play hockey (or team to play for). Word out of EGF has Useldinger leaving town...is he one of your new faces? The new face...

So what does Roseau consider a good team these days? The team that beats the one good team (sometimes not so good) in the section to get to state or a team that legitimatly competes in St Paul? Reason i ask is because a lot of people have been giving STA a real hard time for chasing tropheys by not...

Like I did in another topic, I congratualated HM and many of the other teams from the metro with a fine tournament. That is what this was, a tournament. I saw in other hockey tournaments held this year some teams didnt do so hot that were in this tournament. Yes, this is the state tournament and it...

Re: post 10164
To name a few: Roseau Benilde-St. Margaret's Minnetonka Burnsville Cloquet Anoka Little Falls Warroad Park Rapids Brainerd yup, Roseau should be fine though I also believe that Roseau will be alright. They return a nice core of players--assuming everyone stays home--and they have some decent reinfo...

Think of Hill if they had Nick Pryor this year (he did look into coming back prior to this year). I think Hill would have been thought of right there with Edina and Roseau if that were the case. Oh well, can't complain the way it turned out. they were right there with roseau and edina..... They cer...

I hope Hill's defense plays as well against Roseau as they did against WBLake. Hill also plays three full lines and Roseau tends to depend mainly on its top 2 who will get worn down by the 3rd period if the game is fast paced. I think Roseau was too focused on trying to have a shut out and made a h...

Is he turing 18 in May? So basically he is Senior age, so instead of graduating early he is just catching up with his class? Well, kinda, although turning 18 in May is a young senior. I think the story goes something like this... His folks wanted to move back to Roseau when he was 5--sometime in th...

Re: Roseau a Lock to Repeat?
Is Roseau a Lock for the State AA Title again? Definitely not a lock. They still have a couple of really good teams to beat. Having said that, I think that they are the best team. They looked good against Blaine, but I've seen them play much better. They were not quite firing on all cylinders--thei...

When I saw Edina squeak by Burnsville, they didn't have that third line out there very often. Only a few times--like 4 or 5 the whole game--and it seemed that they put Anders Lee out there with them...watchdog wrote:running two lines against cec is pretty sad. form what i see ya better start dialing 911..

i was very impressed with litchfield!! finally hype that lives up to its billing.. Dog, either you are being sarcastic, or you meant to say that you were impressed with Mankato. Or he is talking about the player named Litchfield for Mankato West. 8) #-o How confusing! Why did they have to name thei...

Re: ??
That shoots down any arguments about the abuse of open enrollment for athletics. It's amazing that they are this good with exclusively Roseau kids. They must have incredible youth coaching. Ozzie, where would the open-enrollment kids come from? Roseau is the only thing up there. You are correct, si...

Is it all Roseau kids in the hockey system. Or do they get non-Roseau hockey players through open enrollment? This year's team. Was everyone born in Roseau? NO Were they recruited? NO Every kid did play Bantams in Roseau. Do their families live in the Roseau school district? Every one. I think ever...

Quote: Every time they have met it's the David/Goliath thing. Like watching the movie "Hoosiers". Edina has the advantage of numbers, Roseau kids the advantage of ice time (and a pee wee coach by the name of Dick Johnson). I agree with the Dick Johnson comment. He made those kids into hockey players...

Re: Roseau v Blaine????
How Blaine wins......Roseau pulls goalie, skates one short for entire third period and Blaine scores twice to win 5-4. The big question is why is Edina still ranked number one when Roseau is undefeated. Actually, I don't think the Rams were ever ranked second this year. I think they were tied with ...
