Re: covid and MH

They will be pausing all winter sports after this coming weekend in hopes of preventing spread related to the Thanksgiving holiday. It will most likely be a two week pause.

It sucks...but we have only ourselves to blame. Let's do better people.

Re: covid and MH

The challenges I am most frustrated about are the individuals 16-20, and to some extent their parents. In our community, parents let their 11th grader daughter have a Halloween party with 200 ish kids showing up. Several of the girls who are planning on playing HS Hockey (V or JV) went, and surpris...

Just curious -- how do you transfer from one private school to another in the same general area and be allowed to play? I think I understand the public to public situation, and the public to private, but private to private? You claim you were bullied...eezy peezy You could actually go the legitimat...

And it seems like every time I check Twitter, there's another school board voting to postpone youth athletics for weeks/months (Duluth, Bloomington, St. Peter, etc.). Yeah. Check out this tool: https://jwolfson.shinyapps.io/school_openings/ You can view the data through school districts as well as ...

Privates do not have to abide by the same rules and public schools when it comes to this situation. Not sure how that works with Gentry as a Charter School though?

WOM and Hunter win. My inside source says all schools will be shut down in a week or two. Walz will also shut down bars and restaurants. Your local YMCA and gyms closed also. Sad deal Do you mind divulging your source? At least what industry/agency he/she works in? Will ice arenas be shut down? by ...

Spar- figuring by time March rolls around , Mshsl will cave and allow a state trny , albeit with limited or no fans . Or else Minn Hockey will sponser a “State Trny” of same 8 teams after Mshsl sections Not as easy as it sounds though Westy. A few things to keep in mind if (when) the MSHSL says no ...

The "Bridge Season" is going forward. Obviously it will be mainly metro schools as most outstate schools are smaller and kids play multiple sports.

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders

With the USHL/NAHL drafts now completed, it seems to be another decent year for MNHS goalies moving on to juniors. Too early to tell on how it'll all shake out, but by my count we have the following (apologies if I missed any): Pinney - tendered to St Cloud of NAHL Hodges - drafted by Austin in NAH...

A/C's bantams had 3 good 9th grade D, 2 should play varsity for sure this year. Their best two-way player left for BSM which is a bummer but they had another 9th grade F that is big and should see varsity minutes this season. Going to be a very deep Section Delano- Looks to be the favorite they bring back Brown, Paulson, Keranen and more. Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

Depends. When school is cancelled due to weather do they have extra acticities? If your kid stays home from school do you let them participate If it’s not safe to be in a classroom with others why is it safe to have teams together? So when schools all go hybrid or online by Christmas do extra activ...
