Boys as in players?
Yes, players
The lack of overall discipline at Grand Rapids over the past few years continues to astound.

I don't think there are many in Rapids that believe Rapids has always dominated this rivalry. The memories of the decade-long drought still exist. I still remember when Rapids won that OT game in the Snakepit in...maybe 2001? That was a BIG deal. Greenway was ranked #1 in the state for a while aroun...

Sure. You can also look at the 5-1 loss to Centennial right before that. It's all about who is playing their best at the end of February and into March.

Let's not wildly overreact on either team here. I can think of 2-3 examples off the top of my head where there was a lopsided game in the regular season between these two teams and the other team won in the playoffs. Lotta season left.

Much respect, Karl. As always. What I appreciate the most is that you avoid the "this team beat that team" arguments for the most part. I love FTP, but I've had enough of this team beat that team who beat some team who beat the other team, therefore they need to be ranked ahead of yet anot...

Just when we've thought Rapids was on to something, they've been boatraced in this game against EP. Hopefully they can avoid that tonight.

Are the thoughts of Hermantown moving up based on anything but speculation from the bored members? I got a quote from a Hermantown guy who is tight with the coach. "One more year in the cycle and then we will move." Interpret it anyway you want. That was made in private conversation last ...

Re: Tic Tic Tic......Tic Tic Tic..... Bomb goes off

Well the bomb is ticking at ole Lakeville North only about a week away from the long term, loyal North players who grew up in the program with one goal to make the high school team are cut for the promised recruits. Then Tic..Tic..Tic and Boom the life long north parents and supporters go nuts. Sta...

If I remember correctly, Greenway had some goaltending issues a handful of years back and a player or two either converted or joined hockey to play goalie. Just do the best you can with the cards you're dealt.

9th grade is bantam. This coach is out of control and has to go. He's totally lost sight of the school and community mission. There should be zero support for his shenanigans. Are all 9th graders bantam age? Or do some get redshirted? Also at the parents meeting I didn't hear one question about the...

You are suppose to coach HS hockey because you have a passion for it, not because it's your main source of income.. Eigner makes roughly $100,000 profit on his 7 week Summer STP program! Kids are forced to do it since he is heavily involved in the youth tryouts.. 40-50 kids on the ice is a Joke.. G...

My guess is it sounds like Eigner is a lot more involved with the youth program than most high school coaches are so I wouldn't think meetings like this are going on all over, no. I certainly could be wrong though. Probably a naive comment.......but I can't imagine the folks at the MSHSL wouldn't c...

Re: Strong Class recruited at Lakeville North

From recent reports looks like the Lakeville North Staff has landed a strong recruiting class this year. Reports are close to 8 signees. Here is the latest scouting report rankings. Looks like they landed just behind BC and ahead of the Gophers. 1 BC 2 Lakeville North 3 Gophers 4 St. Cloud 5 Wiscon...

Reading back through this thread, I feel like I should make a point clear. I wasn't saying that Stampohar, Stefan & Stejskal were entitled or had mega-egos or anything. What I was saying is that there are three examples of really good hockey players that had to work really hard and didn't get lo...
