Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?
Have anyone on this site read the risk factors for this disease. Yes age is one factor. How about obesity, anyone notice that is on the list? How about any chronic respiratory illness? Right now the majority of the people catching this thing are 20-40 year olds who think it won’t effect them and wo...

[quote=Hunters1993 post_id=749045 time=1591826786 user_id=27562] This just in Emergency Powers continue for 30 more days. It is no longer up to MSHSL or Minn Hockey. =D> Oct and Nov will be interesting for those rushing their kids out for all important practices and games. Not looking forward to it ...

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?
.00043% of the US population has died from Covid -19. The average age of the deceased is 83. This probably has a huge effect on the upcoming high school hockey season. Sorry if I’m not seeing that. Grind what are not seeing? Again, I am not even debating Covid-19 and its impact on people. Here is w...

I think a previous post on here stated that Clafton resigned a couple weeks ago. Is this another change?

Minneapolis is burning itself to the ground.
U of M is severing some ties with Minneapolis Police Department. ( What could go wrong with that?)
Hockey isn’t even visible right now through the smoke and ash.

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?
Grandma and Grandpa need to stay isolated if they feel they are at risk. If they go to the kids games or visit other people they are putting themselves in a vulnerable spot. I think it sux that the world is what it is but everyone can’t isolate forever. I think it would be shame if kids play hockey ...

Re: 7AA 2020-2021
Andover is going to rule 7AA again next winter with their depth. No team will have their quality depth top to bottom. It seems Duluth East will be all sophomores and a couple 8th graders with the talent. Rapids won’t be deep and no returning netminder. Elk has numbers and new rink next winter. 😳😳😳😳...

Re: CoVid-19
I reiterate - when this wave escalates out of control this summer and fall, what then?
It's been out of control for 2 months now.
Let's get back to work.

Re: CoVid-19
The scary part for me is that there is a big chunk of our population that thinks we have an endless supply of money and a few months off of work with some free cash won’t create any future problems.
Re: CoVid-19
This is a virus that is MOSTLY attacking the VERY elderly and those with underlying health issues to a lesser extent. 86 was the average age death and 44 (lived in nursing home) is the youngest in Minnesota. We had all these clues on who it was attacking in Italy... We could have focused our energy...
Re: CoVid-19
As of Saturday the youngest Minnesotan died of Covid-19, he was 44 and lived in a long term care facility. That brought the average age of a Minnesotan that died from Covid-19 down to 83 from 86. Of course the average life expectancy of Minnesotans is 78....every death is a loss but from the day we...

This is a great post TT.TTpuckster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 9:01 am Several of you are saying the flu killed 60,000 people in 2018. That is with a vaccine available that a lot of people took. Think about it.
Re: CoVid-19
We do not live in a “one size fits all society”. While what is taking place in our large metro areas is very scary it is not the same scenario that is taking place in rural America. There are advantages to both living places and right now the people in the boondocks are able to live a little more co...

Sweden is trying a more open approach. It will be interesting to see how that method turns out.

He certainly sees more out on the ice than most. He will still be anchoring a pp in the NHL ten years from now.
Re: CoVid-19
I am certainly no medical expert here but I believe Goldy hit it pretty well a few posts ago. If the country stays locked down much longer we will have problems far exceeding the virus. I can see no reason why we can’t protect the most vulnerable and also let those not at heightened risk to get this...

Re: Turning Points
In my opinion the most important win GR history was in 1972 in the quarterfinals of their first trip to state. They had a matchup with a very good Edina Hornet team who was heavily favored. Somehow Rapids overcame the jitters of their first ever appearance and pulled off a victory. They went on to t...

Good question on the toilet paper Raider. While I’d hate to run out of that there are many things more essential than that. Besides, I texted my Wisconsin friends and told them how lucky they were that they have all that Packer gear in case they run out.
Re: CoVid-19
Good advice Goldy and get well. I took off from Green Bay last Thursday with a load of refrigerated food for the San Fran/ San Hose area. I reloaded and got out of California the day before the statewide quarantine went on. Back into Wisconsin/ Illinois for deliveries now and have returned to a diff...
