I love how all you ever hear is that the " northern" section needs to be represented by a northern team. Why should it be if a northern team isn't good enough? They don't just get a free pass because of geographic location. Prove they are the best and they deserve it. No one ever s...

I believe there are over 1,000 enrolled @ St. Thomas Academy grades 10-12. They showed it when they played Hill @ the Xcel Center. According to the MSHSL site the enrollment at STA(Brokeback Mountain) is 1082 for 9-12. Which is double the actual number of students to account for same sex, sex educa...

Re: 1a

Boy.I.Am.Frigglin.Pitiful, have you seen any 1a teams this year? There is some very good hockey being played down here. Not sure if you are familiar with any of the rankings, but the 1a schools have collectively shown themselves pretty well. The top five teams in 7A alone would put the best 1A coul...

[quote="cheese"] the top 5 teams could not only compete but win at state. you just wait, im gonna make a call that the team coming out of 1A either wins state or loses to STA The winner of this section will not be seeded in the top four and has zero chance of winning or making the finals :...

mnmouth, the thread was started asking about winning the section. The should get the #1 seed at state, although #2 is possible, and any number of teams making it could give them a great run for their money. That being said, it is just as comical to suggest someone may upset Hill for 4AA as it is to...

The real problem is gas is too cheap.

Gas is far too cheap. The issue is Unions not Bush, the demise of Ford, GM, NWA is union labor.

I wouldn't be so sure that it will be Marshall and I Falls. It is one of the weakest sections in the state based on state tournament results. Two and out again last year.

Re: Who's the best

Don't forget about T-O-N-K-A. If Roseau, Edina and Tonka all make it, there is the potential for a semifinal game for the ages. Who knows, maybe Roseau doesn't get the #1 seed? Tonka and Edina can both argue they are #1 based on Strength of Schedule. Roseau is a great team, but they haven't really ...
