Re: Celebrations
Old topic but curious if any officials know what the National HS Federation points of emphasis are pertaining to over doing it on the Celly's and taunting. Sever penalties in FB and BB have helped curtail this behavior but in hockey I want to know what a good solution is while maintaing respectful ...

IMHO when they win against a big program the overconfidence they bring on the ice the following game undermines how they work together. Less team play and absence of humilty. I hope this evolves. When they are at their best they are among the best. Just hard to watch a few days later and hear the o...

Has anyone disagreed that Ames Arena is not the most desirable place to watch a hockey game? However, it is all they have and they aren't about to lose the home ice advantage by accommodating the away team. At least they were nice enough to offer a shuttle from the upper lot so people didn't have t...

As for roping off seats...did the band at least stay for the entire game? Irrelevant, IMO. The school knew there was going to be a big turnout of paying customers, yet blocks off 1/4 of the total seating, on the visitors side no less, for themselves. Now, even though I'm a big fan of school spirit ...

moving back
scenario....family moves to neighboring city over the summer. Senior kid gets cut from hockey team during try-outs. Former school hears this and leaves spot open on roster after their try-outs for him to return. Can player return to former team?

Re: Dirty politics
I can only say I honestly believe we're in one of the shadiest associations around. There are more back room politics, it would put the city of Chicago to shame. The president is on his millionth term. His last kid has one year left, then I'm sure he'll step down. Then he'll focus on the high schoo...

To those who are agree and those who are outraged - The only thing we absolutely know about this situation is she didn't seek it out. IMHO she was put in a difficult position where no matter what she decided someone would find fault in it. The ultimate rock and hard place for a great kid in a great...

AD may ask some questions that are not part of the MSHSL policy but yes they eligible. yes, neighboring school, same district. So, even tho they are not buying new house(renting...

It's tough to pick but EE of EGF..... There were many better than him. MF of E is another: play when I want to play.... Didn't do a thing to lead his 0-3 team. LaCombe posted the Best Save% 957 and Best GAA at 1.33 over the weekend and in THE LAST 4 YEARS of the Tournament!!!! You can easily double...

Good afternoon, welcome to talker Thursday. Let's start off by a little quiz here. Who can name the criteria needed for a penalty shot? I awarded a penalty shot last evening just my 2nd of the year. Speaking of penalty shots. I already know the answer to this so won't give it away. Lets add on to t...

From what I have heard, the Osseo High School side of OMG is extremely small and would not be competitive, or possibly even sustainable, on its own. If I recall correctly, I believe it was something like more than 80% of the OMG players live within the Maple Grove High School boundaries. That appea...
