Hill-Murray 28-0-0 in 1983.

Maybe they were undefeated the first time they won the independent title. But in 72 and 91 they werent undefeated so looks like the 83 champion team is the only one on the record for HM

Re: Bands

There are about 100 members in the HM band this year. I just found out today that there are 137 registered incoming students for next year. If HM goes to state next year that makes 237 kids competing for 45 spots in the state tournament pep band. That way only the best will get in!

Re: Arrigoni to STA?

It's too bad that he wasn't selected to be a captain. He truly was deserving, but STA probably will be selecting their captains soon from this year's team, so he wouldn't be a captain there either. Why would you think that Brian would leave all his friends at Hill to play for STA? I don't see any re...

with or without Wood, HM will be a strong team again.
not to mention we have 3 extremely dedicated captains who are very hard workers. the best part is, next year's seniors are like that. even the couple who arent official captains.
02 wasnt the most talented team HM has ever seen, but they ha...

Well it would be nice to have this section split up but we do have the best section in the state, and even though the road will be tougher for HM in 3AA in 2AA, at least if HM goes to state they won't have a cakewalk.
It's too bad the HM-WBL did not occur this year but that game is always so much...

I agree about brian. if he were on the ice last year during the section final, he would have scored on stutz to bring the game into overtime, something cascalenda couldn't do (cascalenda is a smart hockey player but arrigoni would have maneuvered the puck around stutz)

brian would make a grea...

right up until the 2002 playoffs centennial was nothing.
hill beat them 3-0 in the semis after beating tartan 8-1 and before beating white bear 4-1. The next year centennial was in the final, last year they were, and they will be this year too. HS team may not have been great but i have heard the...

re last night

Bottom line is NSP should not have won that game, HM is clearly the better team, but luck did not just fall the Pioneers way. The product of this game is an easy in to the final for white bear. Had Hill won, WBL would have reason to fear for their season, but now they can sit back and relax a little...
