I hope Roseau and YON win this section so we can all see this kid on the big stage at the X, playing as an unseeded underdog against a top 3 team. If the scouting report is right, the possible Mr Hockey would have a chance to really cement himself into the lores of Minnesota hockey with a big game i...

This Section really can't be discussed until the top 4 make it through game 1 and get to the semi's. CDH is fully capable of losing to anyone(see Apple Valley 12'). Eastview and Eagan are both driven by stellar goaltending and D. STA has the best forward in the Section that can win all by himself. I...

LOOKING BACK...Karl's PRESEASON rankings and comments were pretty good as a whole. Lakeville North obviously exceeded everyones expectations and Prior Lake, STA, BSM didn't...otherwise the preseason writeup is always fun to look back on

Losing 1-0 to a decent Prior Lake team doesn't automatically drop North from the top spot...the reality is that there's 5 or 6 teams in the TOP TIER..you can rank them anyway you want, it really doesn't matter they're all in the same league...

The truth is that AA is not an "Elite Prep School" that they claim to be, it's a Cowboy wild wild west organization and they have ineligible players because they don't have a true Athletic/Activities Director who knows the rules. They went out and found families willing to drop the dime on...

4AA is going to be a bigger dogfight than anyone thinks...I know everyone is all HILL HILL HILL wide margin WBL wide margin...everyone else, but I think Roseville and STillwater will both be tough outs...other than section 1AA that is going to be a smearfest with North walking through everone..I'm t...

Well ROSEVILLE blew CDH's doors off last night...so I can't see CDH being seeded any higher than 3rd..the last few weeks haven't been a great sign that their trending in the right direction. (losses to Roseville and Stillwater and struggling to a 1-1 tie with Mounds View)

NORTH 4 (ot)
EAST 3

Luverne is putting together a few good years in a row here..I'm pretty sure if they really tried, they could easily get some quality games added to their schedule. Perhaps their AD and Coach shoud be trying to organize their own early season round robin and try and get a few Metro or outstate teams ...

Why do high school sports have to be confined to 3 seasons? Why not have a year long program in some sports..Golf for instance should start in April and go through the summer into September, when you get two matches because you can't even get on a course until May and school ends the first week of J...

For CDH fans, this game was a highlight reel of everything good in high school hockey..great atmosphere, loud students, big saves, big goals, big hits..and probably the biggest win in years for the program. For STA, they looked flat as if they werent engaged or just expected to win because it's what...

Highland has absolutely NO parking at all to handle this game, bundle up and plan on a frustrating parking experience down near the old Ford Plant (now a vacant wasteland future Condo complex). I'm kidding but not by much..a few blocks STA owns CDH for years, so this isn't exactly a barn burner game...
