JV teams losing games due to U15's
I'm curious to get a count of how many JV's have been cancelled due to programs utilizing the U15 option. I know that Duluth and Brainerd are both NOT having JV teams, but instead having those potential JV players play on U15 instead. Are there other teams, like Duluth and Brainerd, who are not havi...

Now the sections are pretty much back to previous - (4/30)
Oh the MSHSL phone must have been ringing off the hook!
Sections are kinda back to where they were prior to yesterday's changes.

Ntmh is clueless as most other times...boardguy has it right... Gee thanks nu2. It's touching you follow me so closely. And if it IS true, then the many HP affiliated that have spoken on behalf of the program over the years (including MN Hockey's own HP web page) have been LYING about it at least s...

Looking at all the AA co-ops that are made up entirely of what would be A schools (Marshall, LeSeuer, Dodge County) I think the MSHSL needs to reexamine how they count enrollment, 1 player from 1 school shouldn't mean they count the entire enrollment, maybe just the boys in that school. If the goal...

Interesting that Marshall (the town) was put in 2AA. They have an enrollment of 710 and their three members of the coop pull them just over 1200 and into AA. So they will draw either Eden Prairie or Minnetonka in the first round next year. I know that the MSHSL preaches geography and that's it, but ...

Love the disclaimer at the bottom of the section alignment page on MSHSL: Section assignments are for the post-season only. Schools can schedule regular season contests as they always have. Section Assignments at times are a big deal to many schools, coaches, and programs and we understand that. Rem...

Classic Hill-Murray tonight. Outshoot someone 20-1 in the 3rd period and only score one goal. That's how Hill rolls. Their strength is on defense and when you give up 15 shots a game, you don't give up many goals. Too bad it had to be decided on a cheap shot by Edina's best players, but that happen...

Tough call?? nothing tough about that call. Williamson took a bad penalty and it cost Edina the game and a chance for a shot at a state title. To say it was a gutsy call is ridiculous. They don't come any more obvious than that. I don't understood the attitude some people have about penalties. Why ...

I had no idea who Natalie Snodgrass was when I started the Eastview HM game, but it didn't take long. Man is she fast. Her speed was very obvious on the internet stream as well. At the beginning the game it caught H-M's defense off-guard a few times, but they quickly adjusted and paid extra attenti...

The problem with predetermining sites is that one of the reasons the Metro State High School League goes with geographic sections is to try and keep travel to a minimum. Section 8AA in girls hockey is arguably the largest geographical section in any sport of MN. 8A rotates their tournament from Warr...

Congratulations to Buffalo....... For getting out of 6AA. Has anyone noticed that 2 years ago 8AA went from 8 teams to 9 teams, while 6AA went from 8 teams to 7 teams? How does that happen. #conspiracy And don't give me the " they lost Roseau's opt up" argument when they had the boys and t...
