It is. Its kinda pointless to have it for that purpose.

Re: Coaches and fans...2012 Holiday Tourney

I am writting to see if people have any ideas what it would take to compete with the Schwans Cup. I dont expect to get the very best teams but am interested in putting together a very competitive 16 team tourney. Do you think it would be tempting for a top minn team to play a tourny against a Mass ...

I'm curious about the name of the youth association where they played youth hockey? how about if they went to private schools for t...

I don't think many people would have a problem with a legit SMALL TOWN team dominating another SMALL TOWN team

This will likely be the case 3 times today. In one of the games, the bigger team will be on the short end. In most years it also happens in AA. You are 100% right. There is no reason for teams to opt up to a bigger class because we all know there is quality hockey played by small schools as well. S...

According to the one who knows all, they are an A school and don't "draw" students from anywhere outside of Mahtomedi, so they are right where they should be. Unless of course, they want to move up. It just keeps getting better. :P Let's take a look at your "Mahtomedi can draw from a...

just my opinion, but committing to the Gophers shows what the top (once again IMO) college program in the nation thinks. I think it factors into NHL scouts thinking, and probably some of the D1 coaches too.

Transfers ruin the game!! And just how does it ruin the game in your eyes? Because teams like Armstrong would still have great crosstown rivalries like they did in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I just think it's sad that this happens and I happen to think private schools are a waste of money and ...

I remember a HM squad not too long ago being all but counted out by everyone. The 2008 squad had to go through undefeated Roseau and equaly as heralded Edina. They didn't just win, but they whipped both teams and won state. Let's do it again! Tell me you're not comparing the '08 squad to this year'...

HM has nothing to lose in this one. MG is the favorite and expected to win. Sometimes its fun being the underdog. MG is vunerable as they poured everything into beating Blaine. Normailly I'd say the experience factor will also favor HM, but they only have 3 guys on the team from 2 years ago, so it ...
