World-class insurance coverage to provide peace-of-mind for all involved in the sport What would a policy like this cost an association? If you had 500 kids and coaches in an association, that’s $25,000, would a policy cost you more than 10k. What are the ramifications not to belong, Isn’t Minnesota...

Shouldn't the 02 blades beat the 02 Machine, since the 02 blades were team minnesota and played at the brick. Plus with these summer teams how many kids played in all 3 games for the same team. The choice league is watered down because they expanded the number of teams and the younger Machine teams ...

You may see an association go AA, A, B1 vs A and two B1s or you may see edina add another A or B1 so you may get more teams from the larger association

I think its tough for a smaller association, you may have 8 A players but need 15 and your District may want you to have an A team what do you do,

Its the smaller associations in D6 that will be losing players, they are stuck playing only A teams in district play.

my problem isnt the opens playing the invites, I agree its good for the opens and an eye opener for most parents who think their kids are going to play in the NHL, again my problem is only offering 4 games and only 4 teams making the championship round. This tournament is the end for most AAA season...

people will say winning breeds winning, look at what Cretin use to do in football, they would beat up the little sisters of the poor all season in the St. Paul city conference and go on and win state, they got to develop more kids and build a culture of winning. The same thing may be happening with ...

Don't you think it was a big mistake making it a sanctioned tournament,

It seems to me an association would be taking a big risk if they are not chosen, it also seems like a lot of money for 3 games.

Cross Ice Games

I heard USA Hockey is trying to make all Mite Games Cross Ice for 2013. MN Hockey is fighting. Seems a little crazy to make your advance/last year of Mites play only cross ice hockey. I would assume you would play 3 on 3 at that level. I agree lower mites should but your older mites are 8-9 years ol...

Is it true the only association that wanted to separate the AA and A teams into separate divisions was Edina. So D-6 is ignoring everyone else and catering to only Edina.

When the proposal for the new AA/A system came out, I originally thought the bigger associations Wayzata and Edina would field two A teams that were evenly balanced not two AA (Wayzata) or an AA and A (Edina). This way they would get more kids in the A field but at the same time have the opportunity...
