Re: Girl's High Performance Results
Anyone have scores of the games this weekend from the 16/17 girl's side? Girl's Hockey Hub was not being updated. Thanks I haven't seen these yet either. MN Hockey website hasn't updated the Spring Festival brackets yet with the final scores. Funny, MN Hockey website removed the Spring Festival (Ap...

And what specifically does playing D1 hockey bring to most young ladies ? Maybe a better chance to coach at a higher level and a very, very remote chance at the Olympic Team. Do most young men that reach D1 hockey same their dream is realized or is the goal ultimately still the NHL ? Play where the...

One thing I noticed recently, the finalist for Ms. Hockey, the skaters all had D-1 schools next to them, while the goalie finalists either had none or D-3 schools listed.(certainly nothing wrong w/ D-3) Finalist School W-L-T GAA SV% SO College Erika Allen Roseville Area 16-2-1 0.91 .956 9 Bethel Ma...

I'm not a fan of the transfer rules because I think it tends to hurt the ones that transfer for legitimate reasons (i.e. other than hockey or sports in general). I was told this rule was implemented largely due to Hopkins basketball and girls hockey abuses (I think EP was the girls program that ang...

With Park leaving the SEC they will get 2 extra non-conference games next year--that will help. Hopefully Roseville will be able to schedule someone like Mtka, HM, Anoka, BSM, etc. Plus MV and Stillwater will be very good next year, as well as Eastridge. Eastridge should be very strong the next cou...

Hill-Murray did outshoot Roseville 28-12. The biggest difference in the game was goaltending. Brandt in my mind is clearly the best player in the state. Not much different, but this Strib Hub article says shots were 29-16: http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/news_article/show/134635?referrer_id=113956 ...

Congrats to Minnehaha for a big W last night and quite an upset Yes, especially big win for a program with no JV team - I believe it may be their first playoff win ever. Perhaps their recent relative success will help to grow their numbers enough to field a JV team in the near future. I could be wr...

A recent game that caught my eye was Breck only winning 1-0 over the Minneapolis Novas. The Novas had a decent record although they played almost no one of note. I think they just might give WBL a game, although I can't see them pulling it out. Anyone else sensing a possible upset? I don't believe ...

Seedings
if Roseville beats Stillwater on the 4th i think they are a shoe in for #1 It's very likely that the 4AA seedings will be done before Saturday, as mentioned previously: Problem with seeding is that it usually hapens before the final couple games are played unfortunately... If this year is like ever...

Re: Section 4AA
Are we close enough we can start talking section hockey? It's a tough call on #1 in the section as both Roseville and Hill-Murray have two losses and both Roseville losses and one HM loss came during their Christmas tournament with both teams missing players. I think I can make a pretty good argume...

there is no other half only played 2 top teams stillwater and minnetonka I think you're also missing top teams Breck, Warroad, and Edina, whom they've already played. Their SOS is currently#14 out of 120 (see http://www.bgoski.com/KRACH_SOS.htm). I wouldn't call that only playing 2 top teams. your ...

The championship of the 2011 Kaposia Tournament is in the books and this year's winner is: the Roseville Raiders! as they beat the Warroad Warriors tonight 5-3. From the box score it looks like is was a VERY exciting game, as the two teams went into the 3rd period tied 2-2. The final shot count was...
