Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Pinney is trying to make Fairbanks (NAHL). Unsure of the actual chance as most USHL and NAHL camps and their all star games are money grabs. Those teams usually know their players and many locked in players don’t attend camps. Including goalies. Interesting to see who makes the jump considering rece...

Re: Hockey Day in MN
Besides , Blake home ice is on the Hopkins campus 🤔 The school is across the street from Parade Stadium, Parade Park & Parade Ice Garden. Sure looks like a home game. Honest question. So Blake high school (grades 9-12) is on the Northrup campus next to Parade...Why not play high school games there?...

Re: NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings
Brink (7/01) and Haider (9/01) were the only two juniors in Minnesota. Unreal that both still can’t buy lottery tickets 😂 Silianoff will get drafted next year. I’d put that at 75-80% assuming he has a solid year at ND. I think he’s a lock if he stays at CR, but that seems unlikely. While most draft ...

If they wanna come to the best High School in regards to academics and visibility to NHL scouts/College Coaches then yeah go to HF. Program is Ran just like North Dakota. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Truth Hurts Found Noel Rahn’s account. Your social media person “AV21” is a tool as well. Let’s put recruits on Twitter...

Congratulations to former BSM goalie and MN’s premier hs and college goalie coach Dave Rogalski on winning the Cup
Congratulations to BSM’s ‘99 state champion goalie Dave Rogalski, who is a St Louis Blues goalie development coach and most responsible (other than Jordan himself) for Jordan Binnington’s success. After talking with a few dads last summer, found out he has “over” 100 D1 goalies under his belt. Charl...

Heard Boynton was selected for ASG at Fargo camp. Any word on if he was selected for roster spot? Glockner selected for ASG at Sioux Falls camp. Not related to the goalie forum but Henkemeyer-Howe absolutely lighting up the lamp at SF camp. He didn’t play much for the Magicians. He took a lot of il...

Re: NAHL Draft, Tues June 4th
Thanks for posting this. I was a little behind. Disappointing to see the Magicians only draft one, but the nature of the beast. Hoping to see Begley have a great year and land a D1 spot.

Re: Early Departures 2019-2020
I have confirmed with two different knowledgeable Buffalo sources that Jake Braccini will indeed be returning for his senior year. Of course something could happen between now and the start of the season, but it sounds like the Gophers’ staff would like to see Jake assert himself as “the man” again...

Boltmann 90% on way to Blmgtn, Illinois for Juniors. Cake, I will bet you two rounds of golf at Interlachen that Boltmann doesn't go to Blmgtn to play Juniors next year. In fact If he does go to Bloomington I will treat you to two rounds at Spring Hill. Bet? GB I would take that bet as well. He isn...

Saville played for the Magicians last year, but is from Anchorage, Alaska. Played AAA for Colorado Thunderbirds. Kid is a rare south paw. Was fun to watch last year, stole a lot of Magician games.

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
From 98 - on though (and it’s still early for many) - Minnesota goalies in juniors are still struggling to find a D1 spot. This isn’t a slam, but I’m disappointed that we don’t have more goalies at the higher level. Many are deserving right? I also get many probably quit too. Fritsinger, Lance Leona...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
And correct - you can play through your senior year and play college hockey at the D1 level as a goalie. But you will have to play 1-2 years of juniors prior to that commitment way more often than not. Evenson was on his way to D3 until a nice NAHL run landed him at Army with little to spare time wi...

No games matter until sections? Ask Roseasu vs. Warroad, Tonka vs. Edina, Ep vs. Edina; etc. if those regular season games don't matter [-X They really don’t...? You can go 0-25 and still make sections - and you restart sections with a 0-0 record!! Ask Edin Ask Pat O’Leary and Wayzata after their 7...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
It’s been brought up a lot in recent topics - but name a 2000 birth year goalie and up (01/02/03) that stayed in high school and has committed to play college hockey? Some will yes- eventually, but many are now starting their first and second years of juniors (and only have 1-2 years of junior elig...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Consistent with my info, but thought Holy Family might still be last minute possibility Yep been rumors abound for some time. However, HF was never really in mix, though wouldn’t doubt it was one of the rumors. Interesting Reason for leaving is that goalies who stay in MNHS recently are on a fast r...

Being a NAHL fan. Here was the Magicians write up after the 2018 draft and the players they drafted in correct order. Always fun to see who plays and pans out every season. Same with Austin and Cloquet (MN Wilderness). Jensen and Henkemeyer-Howe were both before and afters. DeStefani didn’t make the...

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Hearing Howe will get some NAHL tryouts The hardest things for MN goalies at this point (after they graduate) - is they have 2 full years until they age out. You better nail one of those tryouts or you’ll end up playing a lower tier of junior and then have 1 year left etc etc. The window closes qui...

02 same as 01s. Showed a lot of promise at 15/16s. It’s really early for them, but not impressed by the depth so far. The good lads are pretty small framed, but hope to see them develop over the next 2-3 years. One of the best ones from the north (who shall remain nameless) chirped some pretty bad ...

Any update on other Sr moving on such as Howe, Mueller, Daninger, Welch, etc? Welsch was on Aberdeen and backed up Vernon for the NAHL’s Robertson Cup. Didn’t see any playoff time. Vernon is an age out so he might be given a chance to play there next season. Howe - player U18 Blades last season. Mu...
