The Thursday and Friday of boys state hockey have been Roseau's spring break days for over 30 years. School is off if the boys go or not. The hockey tournament is such a big event for the community when we go and there are still alot of people who go each year even if we don't, just to watch great h...

Moorhead is in the semi's and Roseau put up a better fight than the Hornets did last night. I'm thinking the metro is a little weak. I take that back, there are strong metro teams, but the media down there, didn't want to talk about the good teams, Eden Prairie, Blaine and the likes. This Edina team...

You gotta love the metro self annointing Edina as this great and powerful team. I thought because you play a tough schedule, you automatically win the state tourney. Roseau got ripped all last year for their "easy" schedule and then ripped at the state tourney because they lost. Maybe the ...

I think you need more than 1 line to be considered one of the greatest teams of all time. I am suprised at the lack of Edina's depth at least last night!

I think to be the best team in the nation, you need more than a first line. Heck Roseau was a stiffer test than the Hornets!

In the days of 1 class hockey, all games were televised and all games had great attendance. There were more people at consolation games than at most sessions of A hockey now and I am guessing the TV viewership was like that also.

I just don't see a way the Spuds can win this game. The Spuds only managed 17 shots against the Rams in the Region final and the Rams are definately not Edina this year. The Spuds scored three of their championship goals on the power play against a Roseau box that did not pressure or move, allowing ...

A quote from Here'sYourSign2828, "I didn't want to get into the reffing problem as I don't like to use them as an excuse every time we lose like many people do." He then went on to complain about the refs. This was posted after the refs again jobbed the Falls against Hibbing. Back to the g...

If the Falls loses, it will be because of officiating. They have been getting hosed all year by those darn officials. There is no way they should be calling cross checks and cheap shots after the whistle. Let them play!!!

I just talked to some people from Ely and they are really ticked off about the homer job they got playing in Bronco arena. 12 goals against them were actually off-sides and 7 were because of horrible penalty calls. I guess the homering happens everywhere.

penalties

I realize this game is long over, but take a look at the stats for the year. I. Falls has far more penalties in games than they receive powerplays. That would mean they get jobbed by the officials nearly every game they play. That must really stink for a team to play so cleanly all the time and then...

Rams

No excuses, the Rams got flat outplayed especially in the first. The team is still trying to find itself and find the line combos that will work. As stated earlier, I believe Oliver and Erickson will help this team tremendously. These two combined for 66 points and 30 goals last season. Time will te...

Close one!!

With the Rams playing without two or their top forwards, this would be the game for Moorhead to win. Of course I am going to stick with my Rams in a close one, but would not be suprised either way. I would be suprised if this game is decided by more than 2 goals.

10. Aaron Ness, D – Roseau Rams (Minn. HS): Ness showed just how fit a 5-foot-10, 170-pound teenager can be at the draft combine and likely quelled any fears NHL teams had about his size. The University of Minnesota commit can skate and stickhandle with the best of them and is likely a mid to late f...

The SPuds can drive to the cities, drive back home and have supper in the time it takes us to get there if the roads are good and our bus driver speeds a little! If you get a chance sometime drive north of St. Cloud, there is a quite a bit of state up here. :?

I think if we want kids to develop better under pressure and learn to move the puck more, then we should eliminate the forward pass, like the real old days and maybe make right handed players play left handed and vice versa while killing penalties. If you want to develop skills these two changes sho...

So sneaking out a win against PS2 #26 Hopkins is okay, because Edina plays a tough schedule, but sneaking out a win against PS2 #7 is bad for Roseau, because they play a weaker schedule??

Roseau shuts out PS2 #7 Blaine, 1-0 and gets ripped on. Edina gives up 3 goals and sneaks out a 4-3 win over PS2 #26 Hopkins and no one mentions it??
