I like that tall guy from stillwater with the mullet. He deserves to make the all star team based on his flow alone. I saw him high five an opposing goalie after he got robbed by a sick save. And I heard they use his foreskin as a tarp when it rains at Target Field. Attempt at humor? FAIL

I like this list but Corbett is a lot better than Goff. He's probably the best player Stilly has.

Re: dakotakid

Junior Gold "A" hockey is pretty good. The top teams (Edina, Wayzata, Burnsville, Tonka; etc) would beat 90+% of the JV teams and most class "A" high school teams and some smaller AA high school teams. Ask for a waiver and join the likes of a burnsville, lakeville, or tonka. The...

My son plays on a west metro JGA team.

I'm going to cast my vote for goalie for #24 of Stillwater. He's the best Jr Gold goalie I've seen hands down.

Why is he not playing varsity? I've seen their varisty goalies, not impressed with them at all.

I agree with the responses. I think the kids are getting over-trained. Sometimes I think they are looking like robots out there, when they should be playing rink rat hockey and learning to be creative. Just watch some of the Varsity teams, their defensemen do the same exact thing every rush, you can...

For the record, IMO parents who move their kids to a school just to play hockey are nuts. There is more to life and chances are they will not play beyond HS.

The best way to combat that defense is pass the puck and control the entire offensive zone. If you have forwards who will actually pass the puck to the defense at the points (rare) then you can actually control the zone.

Stillwater scored off the draw with 2.7 seconds left. It was crazy. Why they were tied with East Ridge is a different story. Dominated play but just couldn't seem to get the puck in the net I heard this from the SW people last season when you were lucky to beat ER, in fact it was ER that was hammer...
