Since I am having problems posting pictures, if you really want a chuckle go the the B-E web site and take a close look at the picture of their academy building complete with B-E signage. Looks real impressive and is a nice photo shopped picture of the North St Paul community center and library. I ...

Congrats to Stillwater. What a huge win for their program. Why do I feel like this would have NEVER happened with Housley behind bench? I always find it great to see teams take on the personality that their coach had as a player. Doman was a scrappy, in your face, win at all costs kinda player. Coo...

He is in 8th grade - how can some people say he is actually a 9th grader. He's not. it is what it is. Do you really think his parents held him back for hockey? Some kids are just not socially ready to start kindergarten at 5 yrs old and their parents wait until they are 6. There's advantages sociall...

That's all great, but that's not what the question was. The question was what teams have the best coaching staffs, best preparation, best coaching based on talent they have btwn JV and Varsity, improvement from beginning of season to end, etc. Whether you wanna bash privates like HM, STA, CDH, AHA,...

Whether the rule is still in place or not at your District Level or MN Hockey Rules, the game totals don't apply to regions, district and state tournaments. At Minnesota Made there are no worries about game limits. Actually, if you read the Minnesota Hockey rules they do. G. SQUIRT HOCKEY – MH stro...

SO stpaul in a cense your statement basically says that if you don't go to Hill and play hockey you have no chance of scoring higher then a 29 on your ACT score? A teammate of my son scored a 35 and he went to a public school. Was offered a full ride to Purdue. How was that possible at a public sch...

Re: Hill Murray
Does it really matter where you put most teams the private schools will win. Other than maybe Edina, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka most regular high school programs can't compete. It sounds like crying but private schools have taken most chances away from just regular schools of having a chance. That's ...

So what if it was just for his kid? What does it matter to you? Were you up for the coaching job before? His kid is leading the team in points. My son plays for him and he has gave him just as much opportunity and coaching as the rest of the Team. My guess is he leaves and leaves Stillwater in a be...

The guy from Jefferson back in the day-- Tom Sagissor ? That guy could coach as well. Willard Ikola will always be the benchmark for me though. If you ever get a chance to watch the Willard Ikola special on FSN, don't miss it. Guys our age, in their late 40's get tears in their eyes talking about h...

They should put all the private AA Metro schools into their own section so only one goes to the state tourney. Do the same for private A metro schools. Then we would see how many people pay 10G for tuition knowing their child probably won't be playng in the state tourney. Also would encourage talen...

Re: Hired Guns
I know lots and lots of people whose kids go to private schools and they are NOT hockey players. That line is a bit overused when discussing "mercenary hockey" your amatuer status is revoked at the beginning of tryouts for HOCKEY that is. Bodyshots, great breakdown of WBL hockey team. the...

Re: Too Much Talent
One solution would be to have one each private A and private AA metro section with the winner going to the state. HM could remain in Suburban East for the regular season but would have to win the Private AA sec to advance to the state Tourney. It would prevent the Alll Star Team syndrome and the be...

Re: Too Much Talent
I'm pretty confident about going to state this year. Again. A monkey could coach that team of all stars to state. Scales are most definitely tipped in HM favor when they can just reload with area talent year in and year out. One solution would be to have one each private A and private AA metro sect...
