I wouldn't take too much offense to things, Class A. You do a great job as a curator of class a content and you're a great ambassador for the class a system. You have to admit that it is a little strange to think that a below .500 team could actually be seeded at State, let alone make it there. But...

Egads! The A tournament could see a sub 500 team seeded? No wonder there's no drama in the first round. It would save a lot of money to hold those games at the home rink of the higher seeds. They won't have a losing record by the time they hit state (assuming they make it). Guessing more like 16-12...

Well, took awhile for certain participants to turn this into a name calling/insult fest, but they got there! Bravo.

Since the 1997-98 season, heading into this season, there were 12 games with a margin of 20 or more goals. Four of those were playoff games. Two teams were involved in two or more of those games--both on the losing end. No single team won more than one game by 20+ goals.

If memory serves, this came up last year also. It's an SOS issue with WBL They are currently 33rd. Adding to that, they're a net +10 in goal differential (1.67/game) and this is the result.

I don't know how PageStat had them rated last Sunday but right now Edina is at #5, BSM #6. Karl's rating wasn't too far off the mark.

PageStat takes the final three disagreements on Thursday, winds up +7. It's +28 over the five most recent years, PageStat wasn't run in the 2020-21 season due to wonky scheduling and resulting lack of out of conference games in two particular conferences..hopefully there will never be a repeat!
