I've got a feeling 1 or 2 of these top 5 won't be at the Xcel: East Tonka Eagan MG Edina It happens every year. Trying to figure our which one(s) is the fun part. I agree, the funny thing is that the 1&2 (east and Tonka) have the hardest road to state. That's what makes MN High School Hockey so...

"Wow, that's not true at all. Edina fans are pretty quiet compared to you Eagan fans on the forum." For the record, not ALL Eagan fans are upset about the rankings. I, for one, like reading Karl's rankings and insight but realize the rankings are just for fun and to bring about discussion,...

What's the point in arguing who's better between two teams that possibly will never play each other this season? I'd love to see an Edina vs Eagan game this year and the only place it can happen is at the State Tourney. And who cares what seed you get at the State Tourney, if your team is fortunate ...

Congrats to Will! He'll bring a tough, gritty style with good hands, rink vision, and the ability to set up goals as well as finish. Very cool that a couple players from this Eagan team will play together in college.

Yeah from what it sounds like it is unfortunate that one kid and his parents can cause one of the best coaches to resign. Unfortunately the one kid will have no punishment. Do you know what happened to this "one kid?" Are you seriously trying to place blame on a kid for coming forward aft...

I was at this game and it looked like Eagan took their foot off the gas in the 3rd period and Jefferson made them pay. By the time the Jags tied it up they had so much momentum I thought there was a good chance they'd pull the upset. Hernon (sp) from Jefferson had a great game and scored 4 goals. Ea...

Eagan's schedule definitely doesn't help them, but if people take them lightly because of it they'll be in for a surprise. They have the same core of players back who finished 3rd at state last year. They ran into a hot goalie against EP and ended up losing 2-1. Anyone at that game would agree that ...

This is Eagan's last chance to make a statement prove they belong among the elite in the state. This may be the first time I'd ever favor Eagan over HM, especially at Aldrich, but if they can play a solid game I think Eagan can beat Hill-Murray tonight.

Congrats to him! I remember the announcers saying at last year's state tourney that he has about a 4.0 gpa at school, so his choice in colleges isn't that surprising. He'll be a great player for the Tigers!

As they did with Duluth East, I think Tonka will avenge their recent loss to Edina with a big victory. I'll say Tonka 6-2.

Looks like Kloos posted 5 points today. If he can help get LS to state I don't see any way he doesn't win it this year. Randolph and Toninato are great players and it would both make great choices as well, but in my opinion Kloos is a shade above them.

If I'm not mistaken I believe Jefferson plays Kennedy tonight. From the 80's and into the 90's this was a huge rivalry. Jefferson has obviously dominated the match-ups from the early 90's on, but even into the early 2000's these were usually entertaining games, with Kennedy winning once in a great, ...

Jamie Langenbrunner is an exception, and not the rule. He'll probably someday be inducted into the US Hockey HOF and it would be very well deserved. But for every Jamie Langenbrunner there are 100 kids who flame out somehwere before NHL stardom. Most Canadian kids grow up following the CHL teams, wh...
