Would be shocked if Walker is selected since it is rumored he is going to the WHL. USHL teams want kids that have goals of playing in College, and the WHL voids NCAA eligibility. Look for Gersich to probably go very early, along with a couple of the Shattuck kids. Thinking quite a few Minnesota kids...

Correct, I do not know whether it is prescribed or not I would assume the same thing that USA would not invite back if it were not prescribed.

Parents want to give a kid a leg up on the competition.

That is what I have heard from several people including those around the Edina program on why Walker was sent home from Austria.

I actually think Football can help players. Gives them a break from the year round grind and demands of hockey. Good change of pace and there are a lot of successful hockey players that also played football in high school.

So if your life is only hockey what happens when hockey stops for you?
Are your grades good enough to go to school?
I really enjoy hockey but kids need to also have other things beyond hockey. School being the biggest thing. FYI most people don't make the NHL or make a living from hockey.

Big shocker Brodzinski would be pissed about his kid getting a penalty. Grow up let the kids play, sit back and enjoy the game.

I think 1 class is the answer. As for the tournament why not seed everyone and the last team standing is the champion. Can bring the final 8 teams to the Xcel and still have the Tourney. Gives all the top 8 teams the chance to make it.

Don't feel bad for Blaine. This team has struggled all year with leadership from the upperclassmen. Malvin has not been good at all this year and a save percentage of .667 does not cut it for championship teams. Maple Grove is just a better team top to bottom and that is all. Hats off to Maple Grove...

After watching the games last night Blaine is going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to win the section. Defensively their is no depth only Brodzinski and Copa. Forwards struggle catching breakout passes and simply scoring. Maple Grove is a stronger team top to bottom then Blaine. This is Map...

I don't think Holy Family is that good. Would compete in class A but really don't have a chance in AA especially in section 6. Maybe in a couple years will at least be competitive.

Great regular season for the Hawks, now is the time when it matters though. Would rather be 0-25 and 6-0 in the playoffs then 25-0 and have one loss in the playoffs.

Yeah from what it sounds like it is unfortunate that one kid and his parents can cause one of the best coaches to resign. Unfortunately the one kid will have no punishment.
