Re: HDM

Disagree with Mouse and barry. The City of St. Paul, Hill-Murray, St. Thomas Academy and Johnson High School have hockey roots and tradition too. The site is a beatiful one. Not only will there be the Holman Field military backdrop, but also the river, the bluffs and downtown. Using one of St. Paul...

Will be interesting to see if the dragons can keep this one within five tonight?! 1A vs 3A will see if the dragons are for real?! Or if the Trojans will roll?! Has Litchfield always played new prague? Or did New Prague just join the Wright County Conference this year? Just curious. Years ago ,they ...

I would give New Prague the edge right now, but I wouldn't count out Lourdes, Northfield, or Faribault! Will be very interesting toward the end of the season.

As you said in the original thread/poll, its wide open. MWest won last year. Roch Lourdes is the perennial power. They are 8 & 9 in the QRF, but I would not count either one out. I'd throw out St Peter, MEast, LaC, Win, Red Wing and Austin. New Prague has to be the favorite. So in MDAO that lea...

My son was done playing last year and I thought life was over after a great State Tourney run, but following this thread again this year is soooo entertaining!! I would rather read the Jab's and insights on here than read the "AA" biased newspaper scribes any day!! :D

Re: Class A Rankings 12-7-14

Switch Warroad and Hermantown and I think you have the top ones right. New Prague is better than we thought after losing top line and 9 other seniors from last years tourney team. Still early but nice win over a overrated Holy Family squad! How do you explain New Prague's 3-2 win over Red Wing? I k...

Re: Class A Rankings 12-7-14

today I would put them something like this: 1. East Grand Forks 2. Duluth Marshall 3. Hermantown 4. Mahtomedi 5. Warroad 6. New Prague 7. Breck 8. Thief River Falls 9. Delano 10. Alexandria 11. Fergus Falls 12. St. Paul Academy 13. Sartell 14. St Cloud Cathedral 15. Luverne 16. Hutchinson 17. Totin...

Looks like I got good feedback on this, but the point I was getting to was that I don't want the NHL going the route of the NBA in that the officiating is so subjective that it get's to be unwatchable until the last moments of the game, but by then the outcome seems already determined. DON'T RUIN HO...

NHL or NBA?

I know this is a HS forum , but I don't know where else to vent! Last night was the first time I've ever turned off an NHL playoff game in the second period. I was totally disgusted with the officials dictation of the game and it's seems to be happening more and more every year!! They are turning th...

By my count I see 9 Class A players on the 16 54's. That is 17%, much closer to the % you are looking for. I agree that the system is biased towards the Twin Cities and AA but some years you are going to have less Class A players, it all goes in cycles. The 17 54's have 18 players from Class A, 33%...

Urban, How about Lakeville North, Lakeville South, All Rochester schools, Mankato? These schools have only 1-2 players on roster as New Prague has 7. Come on. I was only speaking for Sec 1A. Don't know why the AA schools were not well rep'd. It was like that for the Great 8 also, lots of A players,...

Hockeymannorth, Maybe some of those players got a bye to 54 camp. I heard there were several kids who got these. Evaluator for Section 1 was New Prague coach. Any more questions why so many New Prague players on the roster? New Prague was the best team in Sec 1 this year, so that may be why by havi...

Yea, well its the best information available to go off of. The kid got flat out screwed - just like with the Elite League - not even an invite to tryout and compete - totally joke. Side note: As far as the goalies I am not saying Goor or Shepard didn't play well, which I am sure they did. But again...
