Re: The Hermantown Thread
I wonder two things here. 1. Why do so many people care so much about this? 2. How many of the hundreds of posts can Rainer2 claim? 1. Because when Hermantown was losing to STA and Breck in the title game every year, Bruce Plante and the Hermantown faithful wailed to the heavens that it wasn't fair...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Point being 1900+ posts to date. Everyone who tunes in knows what most posters opinions are. At what point do we all just move on? Ya they sandbag. Yah they have kids enroll from outside. Now posts they never have had a good goalie or their small town so let’s not capitalize the name. What exactly ...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
AA Hermantown Bantams lost 2-1 in OT to Bemidji in the Back Door game to get to State. The Hawks will not qualify for AA State this year at the 8th and 9th Grade. No way they can Move up now :D :D :D :D :D :D :D And it's about to get so much worse for those 9th graders. Not only do they not get to ...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Well done boys ! 77 pages and counting ! Keep ‘er up ! …. I notice all the Gentry haters calmed down after they won one title and then did the right thing and moved up this year . Roseau, Bsm , Sta, Hf , Gentry , who is left that should move up but hasn’t ? Maybe if Andrews has a call with Poeschel...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Step it up if ya wanna b haters in 218. So by staying "step up", you're saying the other 7A teams need to get so much better that they can be top ten in AA every year? And be able to beat the AA champ almost every year? Because that's what they would need to do get on the same level as Hermantown. ...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
If you watched the final, it was clear that HTown was head and shoulders above their opponent in all facets of the game. Not only were they faster, deeper and more “skilled”, but their decision making and overall hockey IQ clearly were on a completely different level. Is this the fault of the kids?...

I can't disagree. It does make me wonder why anyone would transfer there. (Other than for the guaranteed trip to state, that is.)stopthepuck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:48 pmName me one goalie from htown that has had amazing success. Htown is a goalie cemetary

Very true. Andrews has yet to complain on TV about metro tourney teams getting "kids from everywhere", and that his team is all "hometown" kids.stopthepuck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:40 pmTBH....Andrews is no Plante. Wawawa...I am no huge fan of hermantown. But they put in the work from a very young age. And have amazing training. Yes....they sprinkle in glory seeking parents (eh players). Step it up if ya wanna b haters in 218. Where will International Falls get all the open enrollees from? Canada? At least ha...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Lmao. This thread is so tired. Hermantown will not go AA. They have a supreme resume feeding players into Div 1 hockey. They have an amazing youth program that prepares players. Ya...they get some glory seekers along the way. So what. Just like every successful metro program. Whiny ass parents need...

How is it the same? Hermantown beats a top ten Denfeld team 11-0, Andover and GR play a tight one goal game. (en) Actually couldn't be more different.stopthepuck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:02 pmHow is this different in how andover is handling gr right now

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Streaming this 7AA final. Sad to say but north eastern MN hockey is dead other than Hermantown. Yet they still choose to sand bag. If they move up, the area might not be considered an after thought in hockey circles. Here’s to hoping they move up for northerners prides sake. Maybe I'm taking your s...

Re: Hermanweird
Especially when they've spent their entire hockey lives beating EP, Tonka, Edina, Wayzata, DE, etc. Hermantown decision makers continue to rob these kids of a chance to really show what they have against top competition when it really matters. I’d say Beth Clark the AD is the main one. I was...

Re: Hermanweird
I find it extremely weird that Hermantown continues to celebrate with happiness and joy after winning 11-0 in a section final after outscoring opponents 30-0 in the three games. How can you actually be excited about that when you’ve beat all the top teams in the state and you’re one of the best ove...

Re: 2022 Section 7A Playoffs
Number 6 seed Hibbing (12-13-0) had started the year with a lot of promise beating Rock Ridge, Proctor and Greenway in the first meeting with each team to have them looking like a top three seed in 7A. However, they didn't finish strong and lost to all three the second time around to drop down to t...

Was Callaway in net? Blame it on East/DAHA not developing him right.. 😬 This could be good for the Hawks. Bring them back down from the clouds a bit. Get back to the grind just in time for another run to state. They’ll outshoot CEC 100-3 next game I bet. :D Good point. Very true, this may spur the ...

Re: A Rankings for 1/23/22
Good move on CI part as they have a shot at state now but against Andover and Grand Rapids probably not likely. I'm torn on whether it's a good idea to allow opt-downs. On one hand, I like the idea of letting a program gain some momentum down in A, but on the other hand, it feels a bit like they ar...
