Zamboni, should we just hand you the state title now?
Who says the teams you beat weren't also in a slump or had illness, sickness or injuries? The reality is there are about 2-3 teams that have the slight edge, but there are about 10-12 teams that on any given night could pull off the win.

A problem that could be quickly fixed. Do a shootout in pool play then. Usually takes no more then 5 minutes. Fargo had plenty of time between games to make that happen. Just a shoot out? So the best goalie can win? Pool play tie breakers are usually better than a shootout. People know when you play...

A couple of good upsets - Roseau over Andover and Wayzata over Edina. Shows that a lot of girls teams are of similar caliber. Roseau has been a sleeper team so far this season. They have some good skaters and a very good goalie. Wayzata hasn't lived up to its potential but looks like it could be pea...

Fargo is becoming the new Duluth. Duluth always draws good teams because of its reputation, but nobody seems to like how it is run. Fargo is well run, has pin trading, draws some different teams. I predict in a few years Fargo will be the bigger draw -- and no I am not affiliated with Fargo in any w...

Lots of blow out games. Is there really this much differentiation in girls hockey. Has it always been like this or are things changing?

Off the top of my head from 2013-14 12uA, Roseau, Duluth, WBL - all state entries without a team at this level 2014-15.

*edit - sorry WBL is fielding A.

Please explain. All these teams have a 12A team

Here are YHH's final AAA rankings. Any comments? I for one think the 5th place team in '01 is out of place. They finished 4th in the open division of the Caribou Cup.

Agree, YHH's positing on this site helped get the conversation started. It doesn't seem like people comment on YHH's articles on their own site. Don't know why. As one who is learning all the ins and outs of the hockey world, I used to like this site and learned a lot (and of course like the occasio...

I wonder if the reaction to this article would be different if it were little Johnny instead of little Jane. Northern Educate/Breakaway & Waivers

Does anyone know if Eagan had to deal with any waiver requests from kids who attended NE and wanted to play association hockey in Eagan. If so, what was their policy. With all these new hockey schools popping up, it seems like it could throw a whole new wrinkle in association hockey. If little Johnn...
