When a team loses 4 DI players and National Coach of the Year it will mostly likely be a tough year. With Rapids’ schedule they will have a difficult time getting to 10 wins. Most likely be Forest Lake or them as the six seed.

For those players that didn’t make the cut there is still a chance to wear the green and white. There is a small Northern Minnesota school that you may want to check out. Just hop on Highway 169 and you’ll be there in 3 1/2 hours.

Mayville-Portland is a North Dakota school. It's about halfway between Fargo and Grand Forks.

As much as I'd like to believe all of the preseason hype about Greenway, it's one thing to look good on paper and another thing to look good on the ice. Greenway has some big challenges to crack the top 10 in A. They do have some very talented forwards that will be led by Ben Troumbly and Dante Laws...

It makes one wonder if STA realizes they are playing in AA. You have to be ready every night, you can’t coast until the finals like they could in A. In both of their first round losses at state their play in their defensive end was beyond bad.

According to Holy Family's schedule they will play Greenway January 5. It does make sense in that Holy Family plays Rapids the next night. They could easily reschedule the Eveleth game. What is the last school to be assigned to AA not counting opt-ups?

Greenway had one senior on the jv last year. For a small program they need every player that still wants to play hockey. The choice was the kid's. He hadn't gone out for hockey last year, but missed it so he came back to play jv. Good result for all.

Greenway' Finnish goalie arrives on Saturday. He'll be staying with a hockey family that has a Finnish name so he really isn't an import. I guess I'll have to quit bashing Hermantown. On second thought no, it's too much fun.

Wait until the Russian defenseman and the two Swedish forwards enroll. Also expecting a couple of hot Italian cheerleaders.
