Re: Rosters
KD a nice surprise over the weekend. Could be a trend or a mirage. Fun to watch his hustle and determination which seems to inspire others and is very much needed on Edina - just to turn that 'attitude' up a notch and really get after it with some 'grit'. KD wears #23 and initials are? Opposite of ...

Parker's brain has also been donated to Boston University to determine whether he suffered from the debilitating disease known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Concussions is what shortened his NHL career. Jeff Parker was recently officially diagnosed with CTE. http://www.leadertelegram.c...

A guy I was talking to at the tournament said North and Tartan were combining for hockey. Can anyone confirm or deny this? It would be highly unusual for the MSHSL to allow two stand alone AA programs to become a co-op. North has a decent number of underclassman, 20 by my count on the MSHSL page. T...

Re: Consolation Coverage
I remember a day when EVERY tourney game was televised, including consolation games. Why is it that now with all of the technology at hand, there is absolutely ZERO consolation coverage? Even the “we cover every STA game” MSBN is not streaming an audio feed for the game. What gives? It's called the...

Re: Tier 1 and 2 Format
I'm a little too young to remember the 2-year Tier 1 and 2 experiment. Could someone explain why it was such a failure? Wouldn't this type of system (dividing the classes by merit and not by enrollment) solve the Hermantown issue? They wouldn't have a choice but to play up as they would easily be i...

I agree Aldrich is a great arena for high school hockey. Awesome concessions, friendly staff, cleanest (including restrooms) and well maintained arena around. But too much of an advantage for Hill-Murray. I agree. Maybe they lock up their locker room for sections after the quarterfinals and have to...

Re: Hill Murray
Watched them for a month. Here is why they not so good...yet. Best forward is 8th grader, best defenseman is 9th grader, best goalie doesn't play. Future could be bright but right now the Bears are licking their chops. Don't the Pioneers need to get past Stillwater first? Just like White Bear Lake ...
