0-0 after 1. STA has a one shot advantage, 8-7 with one going off the cross bar. Edina starts the 2nd with 1:30 or so left on the PP.

This was considered a down year for STA too, just wait until they win it again next year. All hell is going to break loose. I just hope the administration finally buckles and caves into the opting up idea. They could very well be much improved next year. Yeah, I agree but they have to play A next y...

Rainier, You can bash a private school all you want but until you actually attend a school like STA like I did, you just really have no idea what it's like. Stop pretending you do. We get it, you don't like private schools, you don't like the good ones playing in class A, you think they cheat. We're...

They don't have grants set aside for anyone. Grants and financial assistance are two different things. Grants are earned through test scores, financial assistance is received by qualifications through need. I highly doubt a family can make up their qualifications either. I would bet a lot of money t...

Families don't pocket any money. If a family qualifies for assistance, even the average, they still have to pay ~9k in tuition. They aren't putting any money in their pocket. There is no way to tell how much a family receives and who receives it. There are no special grants set aside for athletes, t...

Sorry, but your wrong. The big bucks come from the big business guys who can right $50k checks and appreciate the education they got, not the hockey-player alumnus who donated a couple hundred dollars when they get excited to see STA on T.V. The school managed to squeak by for 150 years or so befor...

Just got back from the game and while Shattuck is obviously a good team, I wasn't overly impressed with them. The were dominated for most of the second period, which I wasn't expecting. I thought STA played well and had good play in goal. One of Shattuck's goals was extremely soft and another one wa...

There are two issues in contrasting swimming and hockey: 1. Swimming is an individual sport and a TIMED sport. In many of those years their times alone, while swimming against worse competition, would have won them the AA title. Unlike in hockey, in swimming (and cross country and track) you can ge...
