The Clash is only a week away, but no chatter yet. Can one of the Os insiders give us some info on the teams? I don't see Elite in any of the names, so a layperson may have a tough time navigating without a scorecard.

Not sure what you mean. I don't think the stoplights could possibly take any longer to change, if that's where you were headed.

I also felt bad for D16 who was given several players who were cut from other districts. No offense to those players, but would have liked to have seen a better representation from the northern communities...I find it hard to believe that they couldn't come up with 20 kids from up north. Oh well......

The simple fact is that just because your kid didn't make the cut doesn't mean his hockey career is over. I have seen kids not make it the spring festival one year to making the final 54 the next. And no one is forcing you to attend HP, if you don't like it don't go........ 8) Would that mean the s...

d2 had too many girls that play hockey instead of hockey players who are girls.
That'll get 'em going.

Why do you make such a fuss about it when you or yours are not directly involved?

Looks like there will be a lot of exciting, competitive hockey in Edina this weekend.

Straight from the parent of a kid that went to the 15s national camp (I paraphrase): nobody knew who she was before the natty camp, many calls since then.

In regards to spring sports: do those as a 16 and 17, as well - 14 and 15 may help to learn how to balance.

I think it's a fair question to ask: what are they trying to do with the 14 and 15 programs?

Just browsing the D6 website, it looks like the 15's are paying (so far) $565 (includes the $50 to USAH and MNH for the high school kids) for 13.5 hours of practice, a few scrimmages, and a tournament.

Interesting 15s rosters.
D4/9 rosters 13 skaters.
D16 has rostered 15 skaters, unfortunately only 8 skaters actually from D16; 4 from D6, 2 from D3, and, oddly, one from D9?

D2 at 15's are really good D6 at 02 D3 has a really good coach who is coaching both 01 and 02 D6 had a tight one Saturday. There is talent outside the 494-694 loop. The usual suspects are always fun to watch - an effective toe drag back to the inside never gets old. For me, the real fun will begin ...

This weekend should be fun.
Too bad one can't be in Edina and Duluth at the same time.
Too bad Braemar can't accommodate both.

Blake's best 8th grade F and their best 8th grade D were out there along with a 8th grader from Maple Grove. All three outstanding 8th graders.
Did Blake have more than one 8th grade D?
I would imagine Blake's best 8th grade F would be argued.

Re: ass kicked

01/02 got ass kicked by superior team. Still don't agree with the way they do things. But have to admit they are a damn good team. Got punched in the mouth and did not no how to respond. Happened against 03 MN team also Lindsey is a great coach with great philosophy. A lot of the 01/02 selects fail...

He marketed himself and played on other teams? What a novel idea 'If you're good enough they'll find you' infers that they had to go find this kid out in the corn fields. If he was noticed at a prospects camp where parents pay to have him play in front of scouts, but in the winter he went back to M...

Random thoughts, many of which seemed as related to this thread as any other: In seeing the NCAA women's basketball results, it seems to me that what UConn has done, though very impressive, isn't good for NCAA women's basketball. In seeing what the Minnesota girls did in Blaine, it seems to me both ...

If he really leaves, that'll change the complexion of the section. I think you'll have about 6 teams with a legitimate shot.

(Kudos to the rollCardsroll folks, that people around the state would know that, or have an opinion about it.)

Is there no chance he plays in SF until the high school season starts? He's close enough he wouldn't have to billet, he could miss very little school. For a few weeks he proves Luverne is capable of playing at that level, then heads back to be Luverne. I have no idea, just wondering?
