Northern Guy..That's class A small association/small town hockey. Not a lot of depth and yes average in your mind. We aren't all Metro All Star Teams coming from the Private Hockey Academies. Good Luck Flyers!! just saying its a weak crappy section...but there is still one worse than section 6a so i...

Even with the Duluth marshal game being played this Saturday at 2 pm? There's more than one team in that game...but yes, even with that game. Not sure if the outcome of the DM-Hibbing game would even matter for seeding. Breck, Herm (assuming they win), TRF, and the STA-TG winner would very likely b...

I've never respected Benilde, always thought it was a Class A program that had one good year when it got to the AA state tourney and we would never hear from them again. Then I saw the Section 6AA final on Wednesday. They are the real deal and I can't wait to cheer against them next weekend. I like...

SCC vs. Rogers
I think SCC takes this one. The last meeting was a fluke and could only happemn 1-10 times they played.

In the past ten years, three #5 seeds have gone to state. Alexandria in 2011, Shakopee in 2005, Lakeville in 2003 (the only #5 seed to make it in Class AA). More pointless info; Twelve #3 seeds have won, four #4 seeds have won. Didn't calculate how many #2 seeds won their section. Given time, I'll ...

What is the lowest section seed to make it to state?
i am sure with extensive googling on my naked lady machine i could get the answer...but figured someone on here would make it easy and give me the answer lowest section seen in the last 15 years or so to make it to state? upsets are fun. anyone have any idea of this years lower seeds that have the l...

what part was a fluke Rogers being 2-3 on the PP along with being 4-4 on the PK. Yes that PK included two 5 minute majors, however one was cut short because cathedral took a penalty due to the forechecking of Rogers PK. Even if it was a fluke it gives Rogers home ice for the game in sections. I am ...

Re: Class A Rankings 2-19-12
In the last 4 games of the top 3 teams, there have been 11 shut outs. All three of them could realistically keep that streak going through sections and possibly the first round of state. There's some really good hockey going on into sections right now. 4. St Cloud Cathedral (20-5) [20-5] I doubt an...

Just curious as to why you moved SCC up to 4,TRF and DM down to 5 and 6? Not complaining or anything, just trying to see your thought process. yes, it is interesting, but i think scc has proved since their season opening game with breck that they can beat, or play a tight game with any class a team ...

Hermantown has defense, SCC has the most speed. I have seen SCC play 3 times this season and Hermantown twice. I don't think Rogers can beat Hermantown but it will be a dog fight for Cathedral to get past Rogers. The thing I have noticed is when Cathedral starts applying pressure, it is a heavy barr...
