Read in another post that one of these guys, Hecks, had a "hole in his arm"? What happened there? What happened to Guznik? Will they be pulling up some forwards from JV or just going with three lines? Who may come up? i hear that TG is in a tough hood, maybe he took notes fromp pl...

Wow, had no idea. I thought for sure they were in 4A, but just checked the MSHSL site out of curiosity and it says they are 4AA. It looks like they added another school, so maybe that pushed them to AA?

26th games are allowed for teams filling up a first year team's schedule. Check the other teams on MCC's schedule and I bet most have 26 games.

The coach may get sick of some these kids and want to get fresh blood in there as well. I agree that the Seniors should be rewarded if they're good enough, but perhaps the attitudes are not in the right place after two years on JV. Nothing more poisonous to team chemistry than a distraught senior.

I'm guessing that they're probably the second best team in their conference and Section to Breck. They'll either tie for first in the Tri-Metro with one loss (Breck), or finish second with two losses (Breck). Nobody else in the conference will compete with them.

Changing my message to say "yeah" to the next message. "What goes around, comes around". Can't outwardly condone the type of payback I would pursue.

Chases new coach from TwinCities.com: The new boys hockey coach at Minnehaha Academy will be former Blaine High and Bethel College assistant Darin Thompson. I see your point hb, but I think there are plenty of players in Elite2 who would also make an MJHL roster, and hold their own just fine. Are an...

No affiliation between Elite I and II, but maybe they would want to consider it in the future, especially if they could consolidate their scouting departments. There's also a limit on how many seniors can play in Elite II, so it seems that it's geared towards the younger Varsity, JV, and upcoming Ba...

I can't speak for Mr. Wickelman - but the play at the Tier III level is a whole lot better than at the Elite II league - absolutely no comparison with the skill, speed of the game - and the maturity of the players. I think you havea valid question - Chase is only 16 - so a bit young for NAHL or USH...

I think the bigger question is why a high school kid would do a split season with a low-level Jr. team instead of playing with kids his own age in Elite or Elite II? Any other kids playing split season for Tier 3 Junior teams instead of Elite or Elite II? USHL or NAHL I could see, but not Tier 3.

Out of curiosity, how long have some had to wait on the list to get tickets? Wondering if this is a one or two year thing, or a ten or more year wait.

Re: AK

Kind of surprising at the amount of kids that go up to Alaska to play. I could make a crude joke about them hearing that the governor's daughter is about to turn 18 or something. Instead I'll just say I've always wanted to visit Alaska. Sounds pretty and friends rave about it. Good way to get scout...

Word is that the wealth wants the hockey team taken down. They passed up more than a "Wild" player with a name, they passed up a lot of great hockey guys for this guy who was the assistant last year. Love 'em or hate 'em, it's too bad to see a program go from the high level of coaching th...
