The argument for Hermantown to move up is performance based, while the argument for STA to move up is performance and structurally based. Hermantown does not have the talent pool structure of a big city private school which would give them an advantage over most other community class A teams. Ya ri...

Based on a discussion with a Marshall dad, 2 kids missed the Friday and Saturday games because of the elite tryouts. These kids played on Sunday against I Falls. Marshall graduated 4 senior defense last year. They have 1 returning junior defense and 4 or 5 kids with limited or no varsity experience...

Like I said earlier you are a Duluth Marshall Basher. It clearly shows in your last few posts. During the same time frame Marshall was 2nd Place 3 years in a row. Thats better than 3,4,5th place. If Hermantown gets moved to 7A. you'll be crying that they should be an AA team because they draw talent...

Seriously, if you were a top youth player in Duluth, why would you pick Marshall over East? To win an A title when you would have a chance to compete at the highest level on a traditional powerhouse? No brainer for me. I'd be a Greyhound

1-6 in the last 7 Section Finals, wow!!

You are always amusing with your comments. You sound angry.

I look forward to the future.

I am not predicting anything but another good season for the Toppers!!

Sour grapes. The best team from 7A went. Breck was a tough draw. Little Falls game was tough with 4 D and sub par goaltending. This team was picked to finish 3rd in 7A at the beginning of the year. I really dont care what you think. Successful programs attract players. I look forward to next year. :D

D Marshall runs 5 D men. Marshall was up 1-0 when Hanowski blast Marshall's #1 D from behind. It was an obvious blatant checking from behind penalty. Refs hand out a 5 minute Boarding call. Thats it. Hanowski should have gotten 5 minutes and a 10 and game for that hit. Marshall D man leaves game wit...

Why is everyone picking this as an upset game? DM has only 1 line and one superstar? Breck has 3 very strong lines and Austin Rudnick anchoring there blueline. The biggest issue is goaltending. Who is gonna bring their A game? I take Breck 6-3. Because they have 3 lines and a Goalie that will give ...

For the 7A game in Duluth on Wednesday night 7:30pm: I think you are jumping to conclusions here. It looks to me like most of the heaviest snow fall (7-10')will occur tonight through about 9am tomorrow with an additional 3" possible until 5pm. Then clearing skies. I would think the game at Ams...

Just got back from the game. My only question is: Where was this Denfeld team all year? They outshot Marshall, outhustled them, and were quite simply the better team today. Denfeld had a goal waved off, but one of their goals was a fluke that Marshall essentially scored on themselves. TRF beats a D Marshall team on an off night 4-2 with an empty net goal. Ties a bad Denfeld team 1-1, gets beat by Roseau and they are still being talked about being in the top 3-4??
With the Breck loss to Totino, Marshall should move up to at least 4 and possibly even 3.
