that was a 7-1 whoopin. The sad part about all this is that LF will probably still make it to state because of their sectiona dn cathedral will not. If Cathdral continues to improve as they have over the last 7 games, they will make it to state too. Cathedral is just starting to achieve their poten...

Should be A great game, Cathedral has edge in goal, little falls at D, forwards pretty talented for both teams, SCC gets last change.

SCC will need to be at the top of there game if they want to beat Little Falls. I think if they bang LF around and stay out of the box they should easily handle them. LF plays a nice clean game but a physical hard hitting style should easily shut them down providing the officials let them play. LF ...

There is no doubt that the Blades have had some great teams and players over the years , but do they really get to claim that they developed kids who lived in Grand Rapids and Grand Forks who played in a few tournaments?

I think Ridde would be perfect for the Girls for now. It's only been a sport for fifteen years, let it grow and have a intense atmosphere instead of being as quiet as church. If the rink sells out, move it next door to Mariucci. Danceline is at the Excel and it sells out. You wouldn't move it to the...

The 2/1 doesn't prevent major penalties, but it can defuse situations by catching the slash, rough or high stick that gets missed behind the play that turns into an a more serious offense on that player 's next shift. The 1/2 leaves the referee behind play most times there is a rush up ice. The 2/1 ...

I think one area that no one is talking about is hockey's future in Minnesota. Take a look at squirt numbers are at five to ten years from now and my guess is they will be down. Part of it is economics, but if you don't think parents of young hockey players (ages four to eight) aren't talking about ...

Roseau has a population of 2633. Tech high school has 1241 students 9-12. Twenty five percent of the enrollment are minority students who so far do not play hockey. Tech is the third smallest public school in AA hockey behind Roseau and Bemidji by 100 kids. BSM, Hill, AHA and now Holy Family are all...

Apollo has a solid first line with some good defensemen and a very determined senior goalie. If they take three penalties or less, they have a shot. you are as blind as your name implies. Alpo doesn't even belong on the same ice as Cathedral. If there was a third class in hockey Alpo would have a t...

Minnesota doesn't use a dq. Only game misconducts. Just for clarification; when a player is DQed, that is just for that game, correct? That seems pretty silly to me. If you are losing or winning by a lot, you can take out an opposing player with realistically no penalty if that is really as serious ...

Experienced coaches should be able to tell early in the game if their opponent is an undisciplined team that takes a lot of selfish penalties. Keep your bench quiet, tell your guys to stand their ground only after the whistle and enjoy the powerplays. This will probably be harder for coaches in the ...
