It's a shame, Jake is a great coach. He's tough but it was obvious the kids respected him and played hard for him. The thing with Association hockey is that if you're involved in coaching for an extended period of time you will undoubtedly get involved in their politics. Politics make the good non-p...

"U18 has some teams that would compete, but even SSM (who is usually one of the best) doesn't roll over the top teams in state..." What are you basing that statement off of? Opinion or fact? SSM 9-3-3 in elite league last year beat Benilde 7-3 beat Holy Angels 7-0 I was thinking to when i...

As mentioned above, these are not necessarily the elite hockey players from MN or any other state. The families do however have access to to a lot of money. The kids that play for these AAA u16 and u18 teams pay about $8,000 a season to play. The teams that they play against are from all over the c...

Possibly Grant Besse from BSM I saw you mentioned the name Grant Besse above. I believe he played for the Wayzata Bantam A team last year. Question for you ? Did he attend Wayzata Public schools last year or has he been attending BSM all along ? If by chance, he was attending Wayzata Public Schhols...

Western Collegiate hockey blog reported he committed to Minnesota. I saw Minnetonka play 2 times last year, no idea who he is. Obviously over shadowed by Gardiner, Coaata and others who logged a lot of ice time. He is a big kid who is very solid in his own zone. Not great numbers but is a great ska...

What would the amendment be?? The amendment would make it simple at least for this year.... Register where you live or inthe association where the player's school is located. Validation for school would simply take some form of letter correspondence indicating the player was attending a particular ...

Question for SWPrez, and all those that think this rule is the worst thing since zubaz. Is the problem in FORCING the kids to play where they go to school? Would allowing a choice to play where you live or where you learn be OK or just as bad? I think the problem is the rule and those drafting it d...

Is there anyway around the rule that you are only eligible for B hockey if you switch school districts and in turn switch associations? It would make sense that you play with Kids who you are going to play with in HS?

Re: The Don

If he is a "93" 9th grader I stand corrected...then there is no reason he shouldn't be there...I thought he was a "95" which would make him the only one...which would not look good. He's a 93...very solid player. Had trouble with his size this year, i think he grew 4-5 inches la...

Good call...even though he's going to be a soph..I believe he's a '95' which makes him the only one and also means he should be going into 9th grade next yr. Maybe he is in 8th grade now...even so he has no business being there...can you say Steve Woog, Tony Lucia...although Mario is a very good pl...

I think BSM will be a very solid team next year. Their varsity team was relatively young this past year, and i watched a couple of the jv teams games and they had some good D back their to replace boror and knutsen. Their defense will probably be better without boror back their becasue he makes a l...
