Grand Rapids v.s. Greenway

Post by dhraider » Sun Dec 04, 2005 11:40 pm

Well Grand Rapids & Greenway are gonna clash on Friday night @ Greenway. One of the biggest rivalries around & this year it is gonna be ugly. Grand Rapids should/will win & win huge.

What are some of your predictions?

25-0

Greenway has no Off.,Def., or Goaltending

Unbelievable where this rivalry has gone in just 2 years. I doubt many fans will show up from either side for this game.

This game could get really ugly really fast. It is a huge rivalry game, however, anything can happen. That is why the players go out and play the games. Who knows?

As much as I would like to see Grand Rapids just blow Greenway out of their own building, I almost hope it's kind of close just so this rivalry game is a semi-fun. However, just knowing that the Raiders have been outscored 25-3 in its first 2 games, I doubt this game will be close.

If the score does get out of hand, I hope the game stays clean and I hope they don't do anything stupid out there as can be the case in many lopsided games, especially in rivalry games such as this one. Be smart guys!

I suppose I'll make a prediction:

Grand Rapids - 12
Greenway - 3

Shots:

Grand Rapids - 47
Greenway - 15

I know some are saying Rapids will get 15-20-25-30 ish, but I can't go that high just because I haven't seen Greenway play yet. I've HEARD they've being doing horrible, but I can't say it's going to be THAT bad if I haven't seen Greenway play yet.

So, yes, it's looking like it will be a blowout. How bad? That remains to be seen. We will all find out together. However, like boblee said, it is a huge rivalry and anything can happen. I believe anything is possible so I guess we will see.

Go G-Rap!!!

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ock0304 at: 12/5/05 5:57 pm

GR19...there were years where GR was terrible and fans still game. It is still a HUGE rivalry and there will be plenty of fans for both teams. Granted, they will all leave early, but there will be a lot of fans.

I was at the game in Coleriane last year. It was really ho-hum. Very boring game. I think the final was 9-3. I just got to Bemidji airport that day at noon. I was all pumped for the rivalry game and there were not many Greenway fans. Quite a few GR fans, but it wasn't real exciting when we scored. Everyone just kinda stood and clapped.

I'll say 14-0 for Rapids and shots on goal will be 60 -9.

Will GR run the score up or will they back off in the 3rd?

Can Greenway compete with the lines 3 and 4?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... wkfan70 at: 12/6/05 11:50 am

run up?

Post by boblee » Tue Dec 06, 2005 11:14 am

My guess is GR will score as much as they can the first two periods and then let a bunch of younger kids play in the third. It won't be 27-0.

hey! now i know our team definatly is lackin' this year- but when the thunderchickens take on the raiders- ya just can't make predictions. and i can't believe someone could say the game was boring.. yeah- rapids beat um' bad last year- but i still had a blast. It's always fun watching these two rivalries match up.

As for friday...
Da boys r goin hawk huntin'
