Post by LHSeagles21 » Sun Dec 04, 2005 2:32 pm

Will Jm compete for a state tournament apperance or are they teams they're playing weak? they're record is 3-0 they have played Robinsdale Armstrong, Champlain Park and Coon Rapids. How are these teams? Never seen them play

With the forwards that JM has i think they have a good shot. As for the teams they have played......Armstrong should have beat them the difference was Rikhus played out of his mind in the 3rd period stopping all 18 shots he faced including 3 breakaways and a penalty shot. Champlin Park isnt as good its just that Rikhus let in 2 really bad goals right away and then got pulled. Perihus played really well in relief and they came back to win. I was told by a coach that CR was the best team that they played. They got outshot and were down 3-1 in the 3rd but came back to win 4-3. When Dunfee get back that will help this team a bunch. I like them to get to the section final at least if goaltending holds up. Same thing happened last year with goaltending and Mike Brian found some consistency at the end of the year to get them to the section final.
Zamboni Drivin Fool

JM looks good. Not very many people thought they would be good this year. They have proved them wrong!! They have a great chance to go into the Holiday tourny undfeated then keep it rolling in the second half of the year. All three Rochester are pretty even this year, it should be a fun year for JM, Mayo, and Century. I would have to give the edge to JM right now for the best in Rochester.

i agree...it will be a good year for rivalries to flare back up. i don't think century will dominate this year as much as past years

Yeah, this will be an exciting year in Section 1AA. I do not think that it will be as strong on top without Century having Kangas, or Jm having as much depth. Lakeville has finally split up, although I hear they will be a tough one to take out and I have seen mayo take it to some teams this year. These next couple of weeks will really tell a lot about the top teams in 1AA, only time will tell. I want to see farmington play, dont they usually play Mayo? I noticed that mayo has started to get some fans back to their games. The past year or so have been really bad playing at West, I think this is a really big step for hockey in SE Minnesota. Also with FSN possibly covering the Century Jm game Rochester teams will really turn into some intense rivalries.

Century has not dominated. They one the big nine once in the last 3 years.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... hcky107 at: 12/6/05 9:26 pm

No they have not dominated Rochester teams. JM has been better than them in 2002 and 2003 and then last year JM would have beat them if they didnt have Kangas.

it really cracks me up when people say well they had this person so thats why they won. well of course, if they didn't have kangas they probably wouldn't have won. but they had him so thats why they did win. i mean take say moorhead for example. if they didn't have all those good players then they wouldn't win as much as they do either.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... luvr445 at: 12/7/05 12:56 am
