8 mns left in the 2nd still 0-0, Been a pretty good game, both sides have had some real good scoring chances, and each have thrown a few hits. Great game to Debut High School hockey on TV

I think this game is kinda sketchy, there are not a lot of clean plays or solid offesive minded players on either team. I think the lack of penalties is also hurting the scoring chances since most of the game has been played even strength. I guess I am trying to say that neither team is as good as i expected them to be! Sure they are decent, but countless missed passes and fanned shots is really hurting the overal flow. Maybe there is just some good defensive play going on, but to me it doesn't look al that great. There also is the factor of a big crowd and live on FSN.

We'll have to see how the third period goes, what do you all think so far?

What a great game to watch!!

WBL seems to be taking it to Hill physically. A few scoring chances here and there; but all in all a great game of hockey.
www.rebelhockey.com

I agree, RW. Nice surprise to come home, turn on FSN and see this game happening. Looking at the schedule of upcoming games, it's clear to me that it's time to finally break down and go get that DVD recorder

btw, were you at the Central-Moose Lake boys game at Pioneer Hall last week? Can't remember if I already asked you this. I work with a couple of Central hockey parents so it was nice to see their team come through with an opening night win.

Lee
____________
Message Board arsonist since 2005

HM WBL

Fastplay
You put it best. I am a little disapointed with both sides i thought it would be higher paced game. The defense played well on each sides. The quality chances were not there. The forwards did not play to what i thought they would. No big critical saves. Early season rust hopefully, next time the game will be at a higher pace. FSN did a great job with all the interviews and such. Lechner had a funny one i am sure everyone believed him when his heart said something and brain said something else, like take a senior transfer. What is with those banners? There was no AA when HM won the title, they should say state champions, not AA champions. The other one should say Independent Champions.

Hats off to both teams. Excellant game, the refs blew a few calls but hey that is what happens. My hats off to FSN, I thought they did a great job with the game.
________________________________
Academy of Holy Angels
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

You cannot be that upset over that icing call. That is because WB ended up with an icing call 5 seconds later!! AND WB had A LOT of time to score in the HM zone. They had their chances but couldn't put it in the net. Tough loss but well played.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... uckU126 at: 12/6/05 10:37 pm

I could care less about the call, it was just blown. Sorry Puck U to say the game was well played is an overstatement. Hard to take you serious after that one. Look forward to FSN games all year.

It's my opinion and I respect yours! Chill Out! "Overstatement" or not, I don’t care. The defense was great and so was the tending in nets. But I guess I am easily amused!

Heres my two cents. Neither team played better than the other, both teams had equally opportunities. WBL had some great chances such as gruns shot on the pp in the 3rd, or kovacs' breakaway. But regardless its early in the season and alot can happen.
The curse lives on.....
