Roseau

Can someone tell me what to expect out of Roseau this year? they seem to be good on paper, but will they be? Did anyone transfer out or come in? How is their goaltending?

A person from GR I talked to that played for Roseau in the 60's said the Rams are going to be a powerhouse this year. That's what I was told.

Roseau has three great classes to make up their team this year. We just have to wait and see how well they play together.

They have the Snipers

Post by Renegade Ram » Tue Nov 01, 2005 3:35 pm

The Rams definitely have the players with McMillian, a couple of Ericksons and I personally like the Carr kid (big, tough, a nice power player) for some reason Scannie didn't though . They also are going to pick up some real snipers in Ben Nelson who has to move up I believe and Landman if he is going to move up. Along with a nice defensemen in Ness if he moves up also. Those afore mentioned 3 guys don't have real good size yet but with their skating ability and ice presence they should contribute as they grow and the year goes on. I'm unsure of what they have between the pipes coming back but they had a nice tandem at the Bantam level, one for sure moves up-Did I get that right Sean. Anyways I'm looking for Ollie to pick up his first win against the Warriors this season. Being the "Renegade" I'm going to hate like hell to go in there on January 8th; the first game after the WHS Boys vs. USA Women's team. Regardless of the outcome of that game The Memorial will make "The Snake Pit" in Greenway look like "The Garter Snake Pit".<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> Look for the Rams to have a successful season and really challenge for the Title. This is the first year in the three year cycle we've been discussing for the past number of years. TRF should be thankful the Rams stayed AA because they'd be sitting home again if they were in Section 8A.

Puckguy...either I missed the sarcasm or I dont understand your logic. There is no question the top two seeds in 8AA will be Moorhead and Roseau. Name one other team that will finish the season with a winning record. With Roseau and Moorhead at the top two positions they would meet in the section final unless an upset was to occur.

. . . and that has never happened in Section playoffs before? I anticipate that Bemidji, Buffalo, and Tech will all finish with a winning record, and one of them may have what it takes to end the chance for a Roseau/Moorhead matchup. Just speculation.

Of course and upset could happen. It happens every year. All I was getting at is that in this section, in the 05-06 season, it is very unlikely.

You were right in saying sections 3-6 wil be very close, but they won't be anywhere near the top two seeds.

Tech and Buffalo may end up having winning records, but I dought it. I am, however, willing to put money down on Bemidji having a below .500 season. They are still heading down hill in their talent cycle.
Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

Moorhead's Done

Post by hockeyplaya » Tue Nov 08, 2005 11:09 am

Roseau is going to take down the Spuds of Moorhead this year. Their potato heads are so large about how great they are, and its about time somebody squashed them. Lucky for Moorhead Alexandria moved to class A.

I can only dream St. Cloud will out live their tradition of losing in the section.
"Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today." --James Dean

Ness and Landman will step in and produce right away, but Nelso still has a little growing up to do before he has a big impact.

I just hope someone can knock off Moorhead this year and I think it'll be Roseau. It would also be nice to see a St. Cloud team fnally win it too, but I'll still root for my Stars.

Moorhead and Roseau will split the 2 regular season games with the home team winning each game. The deciding factor is how well the sophmore class for both teams steps in and how well they can play, who ever wins that war will be headed back to state. So that means Moorhead!!!!
