Orono vs. Shakopee

Post by BauerHockey08 »

Any predictions on this game at all? Shakopee is 7-0 right now with the three of the top scores in state. I dont know much about Orono but i saw that they played Warroad tough last weekend. What do people think about this game on Saturday?

Orono is tough but nothing compared to the teasm they have had the last few years. Shakopee is very strong as well but hasn'tplayed anybody else yet. This should be a good game i think it can go either way.

My prediction
Shakopee 5
Orono 3

I still think that Faribult will win 6A this year but this is a nice match up for this section shoudl be alot of other 6A people there scouting!!

Seen both so...

From what I've seen I like Orono in this one. But as elliot70 says I'm "Old man with bad eyesight". Saw Shakopee early at a scrimmage they looked basically terrible but they may have had bus legs. Who knows, I'll still take Orono. Where is this at when we were in Orono last weekend some guy gave us the red-butt for tailgating in the parking lot on what was a beautiful Saturday afternoon to be outside. Said something about school property, I didn't see any signs other than Orono Ice Arena nothing about a subsidiary of Orono HS or anything. Whatever, we still had a great time.

Shakopee by at least 3. Orono is not the team they have been the past 3-4 years. Shakopee will play their top line 26-30 minutes and Orono has no answer for that line.

Shakopee takes the cake on this one by at least three. They have a very tough squad this year. I'd have to call them underated at this point in the season, for they are not recieving as much credit as they deserve.

Shakopee's got this game in their hands..
The team's not going to let 7-0 turn into a 7-1.. I know those boys are going to work their asses off to be 8-0.

FINAL SCORE

Post by Born2Play »

Score was 3-3, a very evenly played game. Eddie Shore you are right, the top 3 forwards did play a lot, and when Rein keeps on getting hat tricks...why not??? But a very good game, it will be interesting to see who takes down this section.

You really can't say anything about this team until they play someone. Seriously, who has Shakopee played that is competitive?

Well they tied Orono, and Orono lost to Warroad 1-0. Shakopee also out shot Orono 43-28, 18-6 in the third and they were missing Jason Rein for the last 6 or 7 min in the third and all of overtime because of a shoulder injury.

I don't care who Orono lost to 1-0 (and then tied Shakopee). Shakopee hasn't been tested yet. They have played a very weak schedule so far. No one in the top 20.

Who do they play in the next couple weeks? Is Rein out for any games?

Shakopee has Lourdes on tuesday and then they have Hopkins. After that they start their conference schedule.

Que terrible.
So, word is that Jason Rein's out for 4 weeks. That's not too good for Shakopee, Jason had a huge role on the team, looks like the rest of the boys better start stepping up a whole lot more.
