Here is the link to Fox Sports North's home page. Fox Sports North

There is a form on the site to send them questions/comments. If they get more feedback maybe they'll do more HS games than they already have planned. I haven't seen a schedule for it yet though.

Watcing the Wild game I thought they said they were gonna have the Hill Murray and White Bear on FSN on December 6th. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not?

Re: contact Fox Sports North about HS hockey
Yes its true and its on the greatest things that has happened to HS hockey in quite a while, having one of the best rivalries in MN state hockey televised, i know i appreciate it being a Hill Murray alum, while i'm 2 hours away at college. I get to see the bears choke in a big game once again, just like old times

Re: HOCKEY DATES ON FSN
They picked some great games to put on tv, I cant believe they are driving up to Warroad. I cant wait to see these games its a dream come true for a HS hockey fan stuck in Florida.

FSN games
Where on the FSN website are you guys seeing this list of games? I just looked for the HM/WBL game and it didn't list it..... and this is the same FSN station Wild games are televised on, there isn't any kind of alternative FSN channel like ESPN does is there?

thanks

Re: FSN games

Re: FSN games
This is a great move by FSN. I have a feeling they may find higher ratings for these high school hockey games than they're getting from wild games.

The problem that most of you are reffering to is that.......

Fox Spots Net North is really 2 channels FSN MN and FSN WI.

What you see on the FSN North website is the WI schedual.

I have looked for a FSN MN site but have not found one.
The Curse Will End !

What?
Why the hell would they give these games to our sad Wisconsin neighbors? That makes zero sense to me.

Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Re: What?
I was confused at first but figured out what he's saying.

Fox Sports North is 2 channels. Most of the time it's the same programming. However they split, like for Gophers games and Badgers games. The Minnesota side is Fox Sports Minnesota. That's the side that will have the HS hockey games. It's also the side to see the schedule on their site.

Watch these games!
Now we've gotten what we've all wanted, televised high school hockey. Now we need to make sure it stays that way. Tell everyone you know about these games and get people to watch! Keep the ratings high and they'll keep giving us what we want.

Re: Watch these games!
That means people in towns hosting these games as well as visting fans need to come out in full force!!!! We need these games sold out!!!

Televised games
Gunslinger just curious where did you go about finding your schedule of games. I've been looking all day and I have yet to find anything.

Gunslinger
Gun, couldn't find any of those dates. They have a screwed up website for FSN North Minnesota.

Are you positive and are they carrying any HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS from MN as well? Help

Gunslinger
As Jesrober has done, I to have been surfing the web/fsn website with no luck in finding anything about high school hockey. If it is true, could you please post a valid website/source because I am highly interested.

Re: Gunslinger
I was looking at pictures of the Forest Lake game on rapidevents.com and noticed a stage or platform in the IRA I've never seen before. I'm assuming this is for a FSN camera. It was on the penalty box side toward the end Rapids shoots at twice. This is a clue to me.

Re: Gunslinger
That was put in for CHA tournament last season. If FSN does a game up north, do not air the Greenway vs. Grand Rapids game go with East vs. Rapids.

Guess i could have read slingers schedule first before responding, DOH......

Moorhead vs Grand Rapids

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... =jls81>JLS 81 at: 12/2/05 1:07 am

Re: Gunslinger
The information I was given was from a friend that works for FOX sports..... It is as accurate as what I was given. I think, by televising these games, that it finally allows Minnesota boys hockey the exposure that it has much deserved!

-The Slinger

Re: Televising HS Hockey
Wow, I am kind of shocked that they are planning to travel up north for 3 games (Grand Rapids, Roseau, and Warroad). I'm also suprised they aren't doing any games from the DECC in Duluth, which is already setup for TV. (An East / CEC game would be hard to top!). I suppose its because they've already got two other East games on the schedule.

If this is going to be successful, both the home team and the visiting teams are gonna have to get some fans to these games. The worst thing that could happen is everyone stays home to watch the game on TV and there is an empty arena for the telecast. Record the event if you want, but attend the game if its not sold out! The rest of the viewing area in the state must pick up the TV ratings end of it. The bottom line is that they must be able to sell commercial sponsors to pay the bills, so any businesses able to afford the advertising should inquire about sponsoring these games.

Higher ratings always attract more lucrative advertising deals for the network, which is why we all must watch, even if your team isn't playing! This is the start of something good that is long overdue, let's not let it fizzle...

Re: Televising HS Hockey
Even though I live in Wisconsin, I would love to see the games televised here as well. Unfortunately, I'll be stuck with the Milwaukee Bucks (snooze). I left MN 3 years ago and still follow the hockey stats and scores, and thanks to this board I can still learn about what's happening. Seriously, nothing compares to MN HS hockey (just can't get into WI HS hockey although it is improving). I'd pay per view if I had the option, especially for Bears/Pioneers (Hill by 1) Nonetheless, I'll still offer FSN my positive feedback so all you Lakers can enjoy the games.
