TRF vs Warroad DEC 20th

Post by warroadsalt »

This should be an awesome game, and no excuses, both teams should be well rested from 2 days with no games. At this point in the season Id have to say a tie. 4 -4
*WILD HOCKEY FAN FOREVER*
"Infamous - Having an exceedingly bad reputation; notorious"

This one depend on three main factors....#1 and the biggest: How many "cement-headed" penalties Warroad takes. #2 How well the TRF goaltender plays. #3 How well Warroad plays in their own end.

I say it's a high scoring game somewhere in the 6-5 range with Warroad coming out on top. TRF offense is good but are excellent on the power play. If Warroad is in the box it could be even higher scoring. TRF team defense is awful and I don't see them winning this game or winning in late Feb either. It will be interesting to see if TRF coach plays two lines for most of the game?

trf scores first in the second period. warroad tied it up in the same period and with 4 seconds left in the second period benedict one times it home to take the lead. warroad ties it up with around 3 minutes left in the game and forney gets
the go ahead goal for trf with 1:51 left in the game.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ptainug at: 12/20/05 10:37 pm

Good Game

Post by Renegade Ram »

Well of the three factors I listed above #3. turned out to be the key. Two of the three goals TRF got were direct passes from Warroad defensemen to TRF players. Funny they gave TRF players some cheap assists they should have gone to Warrior defensemen. This was a fast, hard hitting game. captainug, you started another thread I'll answer here. Is the Warrior reign over section 8 over for this season...too early to tell. This was as about as even as it gets. One thing was evident...TRF can be had. Forney scored the game winner but I was more impressed with Phillips and Benedict definitely is a leader on the blueline. The TRF goalie gave some HUGE rebounds but there wasn't any Warriors able to penetrate to grab it.

Hey, CHIN or Dr. Mike I guess you never learned to be gracious in loss but I guess you never learned to be gracious in win either. BTW be thoughtful about who you snub as it may get back to their mom who just may work for you - gee how things get around in a small, small town.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... m>Renegade Ram at: 12/21/05 9:48 am

trf vs wrd

Post by Alsoran45 »

Likely both teams were satisfied at this early point in the season. TRF won a tough road game against defending champs by playing decent in own end and making big plays when necessary. Warroad executed necessary game plan by keeping TRF shots down and keeping game close and just came up a little short. Should be fun to watch two more games between them.

This was the first of three games to be played between these two teams. It looked to me like TRF might have been a little overrated. I like Warroad's chances come section tourney time. I was happy to see that Scott B is still running team.

Phillip is a good hockey player who never gives up, and benedict makes up for his lack of size with his strength and hard work. They are both very smart hockey players.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ptainug at: 12/21/05 6:35 pm

"I was happy to see that Scott B is still running team. " is that sarcastic or not. I'm just wondering.
