what happened in the TRF-Hermantown game? 9-0 is a whooping? and then TRF comes back and beats Virginia by a similar amount of goals as did Hermantown to show that they SHOULD be able to skate with hermantown... can someone who was at the game please explain what happened? is hermantown that good?
there'd be no hockey if the water wasn't FROZEN

A Bad Night.

The boys just looked tired and not into the game. They were turning the puck over in front of the net, skating heavy, and i think they let a few of the early penalty calls get in their heads. I don't think it's a real big deal. They will bounce back.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ptainug at: 12/31/05 5:37 pm

Hermantown - TRF

Hermantown has a very good team... 3 Balanced lines with a 4th that gets some ice time but is as good as many single "A" teams 3rd lines. Quickness, speed, tough, decent hand skills and good goal tending. One would assume the favorite in 7A.

Hermantown - TRF

I was pulling for TRF to go to state this year based on early season hype. ( "Just would like to see somone new get a shot at state") It now appears whoever represents 8A is going to have their hands full at state. Hopefully teams from 8A redeem themselves during 2006. Looks like the door has been left wide open for the taking.

Well here is the way im going to look at it once TRF figures out how to put everything together in a single game they will go to sate and do well. But so far they have not played 3 solid periods of hockey, and untill they do they will struggle at times. There offence is good enough to win a lot of hockey games. once ther defence, offence and goaltending are working as one and not seperate they will win some big games.

Ran into a section 8A hockey parent while I was out. (I'm a has been parent) His opinion was that TRF needs to improve in their defensive end as well as goaltending. He stated that they had good forwards. Unfortunately a good team starts in the net followed by good defensemen. Hopefully TRF can shore up these positions. I am planning a road trip to the little ralph some night when a worthy opponent comes to town to take a look for myself. Probally will stop in at the club across the street first.
