US beat's Czech Rep. 2-1. Oshie was outstanding. Wheeler and Mueller weren't too bad and Niskanen got quite a few more shift's than game against Canada. Lee either had an off night or he has dropped his play. Semi's tomorrow night against Russkies, 3 big games in 4 day's.

Last year was the first year that I got to watch the tournament, I think it was the first year it was televised in the US. Anyway, that is hands down some of the best hockey I have ever watched, tons better than college or pro. Too bad the NHL isn't played on an olympic sized rink!!!

Just to clarify - the rinks they are using in Vancouver and the rink at the Ralph where last year's tournament was held are all NHL size - 200 x 85 ft. The reason the action is so good is the speed and skill level of the players, not the size of the ice sheet.

I am surprised by the lack of attention given to this tourney in US and even more in MN. This is hand's down the highest level of hockey that closely resembles youth or HS hockey. With the MN boy's and the Wisc. boy doing so well, you would expect that people would be excited.

This should be a great game between tow great rivals, last year in the semifinals up at the Ralph it got pretty heated between these two clubs. Russia beat the US 7-2 but it was a lot closer game than that as Al Montoya pretty much played one of his worst games ever. This should be a pretty physical match up with some bad blood, and I think that the USA will come out on top.

USA 5
RUS 4

Kind of a disappointing game, the US looked great at times but for the most part were outplayed by the Russians. On a bright note the US players did seem to be stronger physically and maybe a bit faster too but the Russians were pretty unbelievable with the puck (as usual).

I watched the US - Canada game and I really can't see the Canadieans beating Russia in the gold metal game but you never know, I'm sure Canada will be inspired on their home ice. After the way the Canadian fans treated the Americans I'm kind of hoping Russia slaughters them!!!

I agree with you Hue G, I hope the Russians slaughter the Canucks, because of the way they treated our team.

Russia 4
Canucks 3

Don't think the Vancouver fan's are speaking for all of Canada and please don't cheer for the Ruskies over Canada. There are some thing's that go unsaid.
