BIAFP

Post by metromick » Mon Mar 03, 2003 8:45 pm

For those of you who think BIAFP is a pain-in-the-arse smart-aleck, you're right. But he's also the kind of kind who'll leave work at the drop of a hat to rescue a guy stranded in the middle of nowhere.

The state tourney with no BIAFP is like the Ranier Muni with no plastic chit.

Was hoping to run into you BIAFP, but will pass hellos to the usual suspects - the ones who couldn't skate too well. 20th anniversary of the Pilot's Club State Broomball Championship next year. We're still playin'. 18 league championships for us hockey wannabes. Still telling the six-lug, five-lug story and the ensuing piston throw at Orr. Thanks again.

I was just stating the facts. Were you or are you a manager or a player. I hope to see you at tom reids on Friday it should be fun, then we can talk about our differences if you still have any.

I will try to make it to Reid's. I have to be back home in the evening for a meeting with my daughters band instructer. I will then return to the tournament. Of course I will be wearing my AHA sweatshirt. One note about this meeting, we are going there with the intention of good sports. So let's try to curb the sarcasm and negative thoughts. I'm probably not going to make it, fellas. I don't think I'll be into town in time on Thursday for the early crew, and then on Friday, I'm heading out to Green Bay to see if Brad can continue his scoring streak. If I'm going to come home to watch him play, I better go watch him play, eh?

By the way, I'm taking the Holy Angels vs. Moorhead winner for the title. I'm not going to fill out a bracket, because I know nothing about Class A hockey, and I don't want to deal with looking anything up. But, whichever one of those teams wins, I'm picking to win it all. I'd like to see EP do it, as a Lake Conference guy, but they'll have to go through Roseville and THEN play AHA or Moorhead the next day (or White Bear, perhaps?), and that's 2 games that are way too rough back-to-back after the joke they'll have on Thursday.

bluesbuddy, I'm pretty sure I answered that one. I'll refer you to Slapshooter to receive a lecture on "speed reading", a lecture with which I am quite familiar.

Board Meeting early show

Post by ChrisK » Tue Mar 04, 2003 11:33 am

Petey sorry to hear that you're probably not going to make it. How late are you getting in on Thursday? Since the Eden Prairie-Lakeville game most likely won't be competitive, it wouldn't be a problem to hang out at Tom Reid's through part of the first evening game.

I wish I could be there on Friday, I'm sure you guys'll have a good time. I'll be there on Thursday, wearing my white KFAN hat and a black leather jacket. I was thinking it might be nice to have name tags or maybe something more subtle to let others know that you're part of the Board to make it easier to meet up. Maybe some stickers that I could leave at the door?

I will be at Tom Reid's on Friday afternoon. I will be wearing a green down coat and an STMA Knights Basketball (sorry hockey puritans) hooded sweatshirt.

Again, Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub is located 2 blocks from the X on 7th Street, if you go away from downtown. Great place to hang out for a hockey game.

The afternoon session will be getting done about 4:30-5:00, so how about between 5:30 and 6:30? That allows for ample conversation time, while it leaves sufficient time to get to your seats for the evening session (for those of you lucky enough to have tickets).
