Check out Hockey Zone of Minnesota. Parent store is in Waite Park (St. Cloud). Sister store is in Moorhead. Three more coming around the state soon from what I understand. They pride themselves in skate sharpening and the knowledge they have. While I don't specifically recall the name of the tool, they do have a mechanism in which they measure the blade and what it is sharpened at....so for example, you may find that if you have been told your blade is being sharpened at 3/8 by your current place, you might find that it is actually closer to the 1/2 mark. It's a great universal tool and I am shocked at how many skate sharpening services don't have this $250.00 tool.

They also have a rocker.

I'll second that puckhead. I'm only familiar with the Waite Park store, eveybody that works there is very knowledgable and honest. As for the skate sharpening, we will not go to any other place to get skates sharpened. Second best sharpening job is when I do it myself at our rink.

I know it isn't totally dedicated to hockey, but Westwood Sports in Bloomington is a great store for hockey. They do a pretty good job with all aspects of the game including everything about skates! Just ask HASH about it!

A few years ago, both the BIG in Bloomington and the Coon Rapids Rinks had skate profiling machines.

Westwood has always been a favorite in the south metro, especially the Bloomington store, where the staff is first-rate. Now that my goalie has graduated, their profits are going to go way down.
